underneath there is a black, plastic safety shield. there should be a little 6" door with a screw, open this & you'll see the oil drain plug.

front= 6.5" need a custom speaker bracket or will have to screw speakers directly into metal door paneling around the speaker hole. Rear= 4X6 paneling comes off by removing any screws first, then popping the panelling off with a screwdriver around the fastners; same for front also. Door window crank handle comes off by pushing off a horseshoe clip that fits around the shaft of the crank. A special tool that is very thin fits directly behind handle and a very thin plastic backing immediately behind handle.

K1500 is 6-139.7mm/6-5.5"

Usually located on the driver's side of the transmission mounted on the shift linkage.

Remove the tire and wheel from your 2003 GMC 2500 Sierra. Remove the end of the axle. Using a seal puller remove the axle seal. Reverse the process to install your new rear axle seal.

i need the answered to this too im pretty sure the entire interior just pops apart minus a few bolts but i wanna be sure cause i dont want to break anything.

pull your fuel filter off fill it up with diesel put it back on loosen the injector line closed to fuel filter and line closet to driver side turn your key on and turn it over to bleed all the air out of the system once you have a solid stream of fuel coming out then quit turning it over tighten your lines back up. get a rag with some gas and remove your brether have someone turn the truck over while you hold the rag once truck fires up you are set the items you will need to do this job are 1 gallon can of diesel 1 gallon can of gas and a clean rag a fuel filter wrench and a battery charger for batterys

The weights listed are presumably for the standard 5.0L engine, not the optional 5.7L. The Truck Index does not indicate the weight difference between the engines.

I replaced the stock radio in my 04 with another stock radio. I'm not sure about the 03, but my 04 has the "anti-theft" system on it...or whatever they call it. I bought a stock radio from a salvage yard and swapped it out. But I had to take it to the dealership and pay them $40 to hook up their computer to it and program the "anti-theft" code into the new radio. The radio isn't hard to swap out, pop the plastic trim unit off the front and four screws ( or 8mm bolts...can't remember which right now) and the radio slides out. Just unplug the power cable and antenna and plug them into the new ones. If you go in with an aftermarket, head to a car stereo shop or Best Buy and buy the plug that fits from the aftermarket radio to GMC. It saves from needing to do any rewiring.

Your 2000 GMC Sierra Vortec might be hard to start because the battery or the starter are worn or dead. The GMC Sierra might also be hard to start because of a clogged fuel filter.

The 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 dashboard speakers measure 4.5 inches in diameter. The front door speakers measure four inches by six inches. The rear speakers measure five inches by seven inches.

Using a set of gauges you will put the blue hose on the low side which is the suction side and the red hose on the high side which is the discharge side and using the remaining yellow hose you will attach the can of freon and add the correct amount plus add oil as well....

Replace the brake line, bleed the brake. top up with brake fluid. Done.

I think in 1987 the fuel pump was still located on the front of the engine block next to the water pump and was actually driven by the cam gear. Follow the fuel line from the throttle body to see if it goes to a small space ship looking part on the front of the engine. If it is not there it is probably an electric pump located on the frame next to the main tank. Good luck.

on the new body style 1500 trucks there is no torsion bar. there is now a coil over suspension. to raise it and level the truck you will need a "leveling kit" typically comprised of a metal spacer that will sit above the coil over.

the bottom of the shock should be bolted to the rear axle so you take that off then you go up toward the top of the shock next to the frame and take out the two bolts holding it in place and its out

For the VIN "T" 5.3 liter V-8, the fuel pressure regulator is mounted in the center of the fuel bar on the driver's side of the engine.

A 96 GMC Sierra won't stay running if the fuel filter is clogged or water is in the gas tank. Replacing the filter allows for proper fuel flow to be restored to the engine.

I have found that on some websites they refer to the speaker sizes as 6.5" up front in the doors and 5.25" in the back doors with an extended cab. I have the extended cab model and bought speakers in these two sizes. When I went to install them I found that the rear speakers in the doors are actually 4x6". It is quite easy to check and from experience I recommend removing the door panels and having a look. If it is an extended cab GMC Sierra Duramax I can say with some confidence that the fronts are 6.5" and the rears are 4x6". Hope this helps, not sure if the duramax matters or not.

There is 2 of them and both of them are underneith the intake manifold.

You will have to remove the intake to service the knock sensers.
