i think it would depend on whether it is split from one cable or not. More importantly, i am not sure why you would want to do that? What's the advantage? NO. Your cable modem is like a digital box, it's an addressable device that needs to be authorized to let you go online. you can have 2 cable modems in a single room if you want but you have to have two separate accounts. Provisioning of the cable modem is done through an application that manages billing, addressability, and authorization of CPE (customer premises equipment). so once the codes are right in the account, an order goes to the cable headend to authorize that device, wether it's a cable box or a modem or a phone box... hope this will help. Mine doesn't (actually I have an '04) but if yours does you should consider it a potentially very dangerous condition and have it checked out by a trusted mechanic or your Toyota dealer immediately. Any problem with the engine control system or its sensors should be throwing a code (your 'check engine light will be on) which you can easily read. No, the HCD-FC8 does not have a HDMI output. Its DVD player does not support 720p or 1080i upscaling through the component video output, either. The best you will be able to get with this model is 480p resolution through the component video output.

It s suggested that the screen be eye height when setting down. The thing to remember is the flat screen reflects light more than the CRT TV, don't mount the screen opposite windows or other light sources, tilting might be a help.

Aparently not even the retailer who sold me my Aveis can answer that question. Crapped out after about 9 months . . . no Warranty . .. .

Don't know who the actual manufacturer is that they import from, and apparently a 1 year warrantly is implied on Aveis.

I've gotta admit, I'm very UN-imprseed with their products..well at least the one I got.

Bought a bunch of groceries at SuperStore the other day, and they gave me a free Aveis DVD player.

I thought "Right On!" Nothing special...but it was free, so I hokked it up in the spare bedroom.

Well.....after hooking it all up, went to put a DVD in and see how well it worked.

What a bummer! The tray would not open!

I looked to see if maybe there was a switch or tab I could move in case they lock the tray for shipping purposes.

Nope!

So....I returned it yesterday and got another.

I went to connect it tonight...and thought I'd better check the tray before going through all of the work required to install it...being moving a bunch of furniture around and such.

Plugged it in.....pressed the open/close button on the remote.......made a click.,..but no open tray!

Ok...so I pressed the open/close tray button on the unit itself.

Stilll..NO GO!

So...that is 2 units in a row with the identical problem.

Si I'll return again tomorrow, and I'm going to make them give me an entirely different brand, or I'll threaten to kmake a stink!

Anyways...hope this helped with the contact info for "Aveis"...and I got to vent and warn people about a clearly inferior product.

The screen should be the same height as your head when seated. Remember the glass on the face of the screen will reflect light so mount it on a wall that does not have windows or other light emitting sources across from it. Or mount it higher, then tilt it down to get rid of the reflections.

A plasma TV has 2 tiny panels of glass and there are countless tiny cells between the panels that hold a mixture of gases.

First, you have to know the manufacturer of the unit. Varyng manufacturers of CD players do not use the same codes, although there aren't that many manufacturers (and hundreds of brands). Once you know the actual manufacturer (not necessarily the brand name manufacturer/seller), you can get the info from that company. \\o
