Wilhelm Wundt is famous for founding experimental psychology, establishing the first experimental psychology laboratory, and training several generationsof important American and European psychologists.

Wundt's ideas are difficult to summarize because he was involved in so many areas, because he changed his views about many subjects in his 68 years of writing, and because his writing has no single, common theme. He was interestedin introspection, but he scorned the kind of introspection that involved vague, subjective thinking about thinking. Instead, Wundt focused some of his research on reaction times, the time it takes between the first impression of astimulus on a subject's senses and the subject's perceptions based on the stimulus. Wundt was also a great systematizer, creating a set of categories intowhich he could place his ideas about attention, stimuli, feelings, volition,impulses, memory, judgment, causality, and creativity.

You may see fewer men out shopping at malls and carrying shopping bags of clothing, etc., but that doesn't mean they aren't shopping and buying things and loving every minute of it. The importance of Alderfer's ERG theory (Existence/Relatedness/Growth) is that it took Maslow's hierarchy of needs and reduced it from the five categories of Physiological & Safety needs (Physical - Existence), Belonging & Esteem (Social - Relatedness) and Self Actualization (Self - Growth) and reduced them to the three needs already listed.

In addition to this, whereas Maslow's theory dealt with a selection of goals along a journey Alderfer's theory allowed for a flexibility between the levels. Therefore if a person's R needs were dissatisfied then he would focus on satisfying his E needs to an imbalanced extent, hence people become overweight, etc.

Alderfer's theory allowed an explanation for the starving artists who are happy to focus on their work for no return as they are more obsessed with growth than they are with existence. Likewise the religiously obsessed who do not mind living with no certainty where their next meal is coming from because they are focussed on spirituality.

Some people say "achoo" loudly when they sneeze because it is a reflex reaction controlled by the body's autonomic nervous system. The forcefulness of the sneeze can vary depending on the individual.

This really goes back tothe definition of crossdressing: is it the intent to appear to be the opposite of our "normal" sex or is the actual wearing of clothing marketed as "male" or "female"? So you see, saying "mmm" during a make out session isn't necessarily needed, but it reinforces positive feedback. It is the girl's insecurities and subtle need to do something about the situation more than the other so that subconsciously she feels she is in control. Like I stated above, they will move their neck and arms around like an octopus whereas guys will typically just lean forward and extend their arms, to engage more when it's about an argument.

Basically motivation can be defined as the internal and external life events that stimulate desire and energy in humans to be continually interested and committed to a role, job or subject matter, or to make an effort to attain a goal of their or someone desire.

Basic motivation results from the interaction of both your conscious and unconscious such as the "intensity of need, incentive or reward value of the goal to be achieved e'er money, and/or the expectation of the individual and of his or her peer group. These factors are the reasons one has for behaving a certain way. An example is a student that spends extra time studying for an exam because he /she wants a better grade or outcome.
