Hello I have a 1992 HYUNDAI EXCEL..just changed mine..but its a standard shift..first disconnect the NEGATIVE battery cable..stops any airbag accidents..take pliers..DISCONNECT end at TRANI..run new speedo cable the same way the old one goes..pull out RUBBLER BLACK grommet behind DISTRIBUTOR CAP..this grommet stops water getting inside dash .Its under the hood inside firewall (behind distributor cap). NEXt undoes the 3-4 screws inside car that hold your plastic intrument gauges....pull out SLOW..behind it is WHITE plastic piece..SQEEZE together..this piece will release the old speedo cable..PULL this white plastic piece AWAY FROM YOU..it releases the old cable..its a difficult job..worse than u think, but it can be done..took me over an hour...the worse thing was trying to remove the WHITE plastic housing behind DASH guages..I was pulling it the wrong way..must be BACKED OFF away from you..GOOD LUCK

If you live in an area seldom to cold go with Castrol Magnatec 5w30

behind the farthest black button on the left is a screw, to remove get a screwdriver and pry it out.. also behind ashtray is 2 screws

had the same problem, was never able to solve it. Suspected fuel pump, fuel injectors, or possibly a sensor somewhere. Best to just take it to your local Hyundai dealer.

HI mine is doing the same thing..I put a bottle of DRY GAS in ..it helped..the car runs and I increased the idle speed by the screw ...did u ever fix the car..maybe a fuel pump relay, fuel filter, fuel pump, bad injector..or sensor..that is what i wAS TOLD..i CAN HEAR MY pump WORKING, AND i swapped relays out..so it wasn't my relay to the fuel pump

In front of motor lower pulley ,it has 0 to 5 or 10 stamped on the housing behind it ,towards the top right or left side.

there is no fuse located for fuel gauge. check connector. maybe it is lose or some wire is discontented. check connector and cable in the back seats.

Smoking brakes usually indicate a stuck caliper or improper install on pads/shoes. Have you calipers checked and make use they move smoothly.

The code is 4 digit long, each radio has its own code, to set code: Say the code is 2418 using the station preset numbers press #1 x2 press #2 x4 press #3 x1 press #4 x8 the number should be on the LCD then press #5 once.

If you incorrectly enter the code 3 times the radio will shut off and you will have to wait an hour before you can try again.

Toyota 4runner 1999 has right hand threads. I used a flush gear puller (washered out between the puller halfves to allow alignment of two drill bits into holes in crankshaft pulley and also allows enough room for 19mm socket to be used on crankshaft pulley bolt, I then used a deep socket over one of the puller bolts (nut end) with a couple of extentions wedged against the truck frame ) then with a half inch drive breaker bar and a four foot cheater pipe was able to break the torque on the nut. However the bolt on my gear puller will have to be replaced (bent), but I didn't have to purchase or manufactured any special holding tool.

The air inlet temperature sensor is found inside the intake of a 2005 Hyundai Elantra. More specifically it is located near the air box where the filter is.

The same place you fill the front. They both feed from the same tank.

The horn is located inside the bumper on the left-hand side. It is accessible by removing the left front wheel and the panel inside the wheel arch.

I had the same problem with a Hyundai Accent 1996. You need to disconnect the speedometer inside the front hood.

i had the same problem last month and i had find out that it was because the brake oil was running low.

My daughter has an X2 1993 and it has a cam belt. All models from 1990 will have a cam belt but I'm not sure about the earlier X1 series prior to 1990. If you are replacing the belt, make sure you buy a cam belt kit with the new tensioner pulley assembly. I found this out the hard way when I pulled my daughters car apart to replace the belt. The pulley bearing was stuffed and also the tensioner spring gets weak over time.

To set the timing on a 1991 Hyundai Excel, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder one. Then, locate the timing marks on the crankshaft pulley and the timing cover, aligning them as specified in the service manual. Adjust the distributor by loosening its hold-down bolt and rotating it until the timing mark aligns with the specified degree. Finally, tighten the bolt and recheck the timing to ensure it remains in alignment.
