Why are there holes in ceiling tiles?
The more holes in the tile the better the acoustic properties of the tile.
If the tile has lots of holes it will absorb sound better and prevent reverberation within the room.
if the tile is smooth it will not absorb the sound and it will bounce back and cause an echo.

Check with your local building supply store before you begin to frame in your door, to verify the sizes that they have in stock.

If you are, you need to measure the inside diameter of the jams where the door fits within - don't assume. Many doors of these sizes are up to a half inch smaller due to proprietary fitting (sealing and weatherstripping allowances / beveled jams and sills / even shifting or settling...). If you are replacing the whole door and jam - a 'pre-hung' (which I always recommend - especially on exterior doors) - you need to measure the rough opening of the studs behind the molding. Remove the interior trim and remove, or push in, any insulation. Take measurements in a few places (top bottom left right) and both diagonals, to check for square (every house can settle).

the best paint is flat white paint with a drop of violet in it. the white will make the closet brighter and the drop of violet pigment will enhance the brightness of the white. Your local hardware store will be happy to do this for you.
What is the difference between a billiard table and a pool table?
All three are different kinds of cue games: Billiards, Pool, and snooker.
Billiard tables have larger pockets and use slightly larger balls than snooker. Other than that the tables are very similar in size and design. The smaller snooker balls are red, and yellow with white cue balls. They are not numbered like billiard balls and the game is entirely different than say 8 or 9 ball played in the USA. A billiard table can be converted to snooker because you can make the holes smaller to accommodate the snooker balls, but not vice-versa.
In snooker you keep score and after all the balls are potted it is the one with the highest score that wins. 147 is the maximum score but theoretically 155 is possible. With billiards an infinite score is theoretically possible. In pool it is ho pots all their balls and the black first that wins.

Well it kind of depends what the girl is like. Just cool stuff for girly girls and tomboys could be a music player with an ipod and speakers, a laptop, lava lamp, posters, beanbags, tv (if you can), movie collection on side of room, a desk with cool pens and a lamp on it, a bulleton board with photos and postcards, pins, and little knick knacks (I have neon orange fuzzy dice on mine lol), a jewelry case, cool pillows, maybe have a themed room like surfer girl or something.....if beach like have shells and fish and stuff idk lol

The Carpet is said to be imported to England from Turkey in the Tudor Times!!The first carpets were textiles laid on floors, then patterns were added and the face of the carpet was enhanced to be softer fuzzier probably inspired by skins and pelts. Before central heating, they added warmth and beauty and were easier on the feet.The Berber tribesmen made wool camel blankets that were adopted by the English & became the rage as "rugs" in Europe in the 1700's. Rugs are thought of as movable works of art and date back over 4,000 years in China. Carpet in the modern sense goes back to the weaving looms created by the competitive English & French.
In England it was the Axminster & Kidderminster looms and in France it was the Jacquard loom that made carpets more than rugs and greatly speed production when they hooked them up to a water wheel for power. from the 1700's to the 1940's woven & wool ruled the carpet business with names like Mohawk, Bigelow, Downs, Alexander Smith & others, mostly made in New York & Pennsylvania.
The Carpet business changed very little till After WWII a new technology evolved from the Chenille bedspread business called TUFTING. that combined with a housing boom and the invention of NYLON, created the modern carpet industry, based close to Dalton Ga.
$30 Billion in sales each year and 3 big players (Shaw, Mohawk and Beaulieu) with 20 more niche players pretty much sum up the current flooring industry.
The US Carpet industry is a rare beast in the domestic manufacturing category. US carpet makers expoert far more than we import and are still the premier tufted carpet makers in the world.

Where would you find fabric for making tablecloths?
In the home decor section of a dedicated fabric shop. You can ask a store employee to help you find the proper fabric if you aren't sure what type of fabric you would like to use. Unfortunately, stores like WalMart that carry some sewing supplies will have cotton and flannel for making clothes and quilts (depending on the store) but won't have the specialty fabric like what you would want for a tablecloth.

What size screws do cabinet knobs use?
Usually, the new knobs that you purchase will come with screws. In general, the screws are 1 ½-2" screws. Check that this will work for your installation before running out to purchase other screws. Sometimes, the doors and drawers will need a different screw length. If the drawers have faces that are applied as a separate piece, they'll need screws that can pass through 1 ¼"-1 2/3" of wood or substrate. Since doors are usually made of ¾" lumber, a 1" screw will generally work just fine. If you need to, measure that depth of the face where the screw is going to insert. Keep in mind that you also have to check for the diameter of the screw, not just the length. Assume that the fabric is 41" wide for purposes of calculation, and you'll have a maximum of 10% shrinkage in length. (You will need to remove the selvages before sewing the widths together, or the fabric will pucker. I'm going to assume in the calculations below that you want an 18" drop on sides and bottom, and the quilt will reach the top of the mattress, but not go over pillows. Mattress size is 72 wx84l.
72" wide + 2x18" side drops = 72+36= 108
divide by 41" fabric width = 2.63 widths of fabric, so you'll need to buy 3 x the finished length of the quilt + 10% (shrinkage)

All types of nickel hardware, including satin nickel hardware, can tarnish. For this reason, it's very important to stay on top of your nickel cleaning. Cleaning all nickel hardware is done the same way. First, wash the items with a mild detergent in warm water. Rinse them completely and then dry them with a soft, lint-free cloth. If you have stubborn stains on your satin nickel cabinet hardware, you can combine baking soda with just enough water to create a paste. Then, cover the hardware with the paste and let it dry. Finally, run each cabinet hardware piece under warm water and buff dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. If you are still having problems with stains after using the baking soda, then try a silver cleaning polish. Follow the directions on the packaging to ensure that you don't scratch the metal.
Finally, if the satin nickel cabinet hardware is really heavily stained, you can try giving it a bath! Remove the hardware and place it in a bath with one part ammonia and three parts water. Make sure that the hardware is completely submerged and allow it to soak for half an hour. Then, rinse each cabinet hardware piece with warm water and dry it with a soft cloth.

Duvet covers are made of different materials, nylon, polyester though usually cottons such as Egyptian with varying thread counts. you are looking for an effective way to advertise a new promotion or product, mark a birthday or anniversary, or simply spread a joyous amount of holiday cheer, you will probably want to consider hanging a vinyl banner. No matter what your reasons for hanging it, it is definitely going to be something people will notice.
- How you hang the vinyl banner will ultimately depend on how long you intend to hang it. Tape can be a necessary adhesive if you are only going to use the banner for a day, such as a party for a birthday, anniversary or graduation. For best results, use either packing tape or clear duct tape, since regular duct tape will look unappealing and scotch tape will never hold. Roll a piece of tape so the sticky sides touch and put one on each of the banners’ back corners. For added security, put two in the middle of the backside of the banner. When you hang it on the wall, smooth out the tape.
- Alternatively, you can figure out the best way to hang the banner by taking its size into account. For instance, tape will work best for smaller banners but you may wish to fasten a banner larger in size using nails.
- If your banner has loops on each of the corners, hammer nails into the holes. Do not hammer the nails in so the head is adjacent to the wall, but rather, leave some sticking out so the banner has a little legroom with which to hang.
- You can use a vinyl banner to decorate a table. Center the banner in a way that allows it to slide over to the table front with a small bit of the banner still on the table top. Use clear duct tape to fasten the banner to the top of the table, leaving you with a fashionably well placed table banner.
- Lastly, you can use clear duct tape to hang a vinyl banner either on a door or on a window so it can be displayed to the outside world. Make sure you use a strong enough tape, and enough of this tape, so that it will not be torn down by any wind, weather or any other kind of outdoor element. Also make sure the banner is not in direct danger of being snowed or rained on.
