NO!! A choke makes slugs dangerous. DO NOT fire slugs through ANY choke, ever. The life you save may be your own.

Where can you find a 20 gauge JC Higgins single shot with a poly choke made in the 1950s or 1960s?
The only one I have seen is the model 583.1450 these were a single shot bolt action made by high standard . It is almost identical to the 583 1401 wich was a repeater both models were available with polychokes, and offered in 20 gauge 16 gauge and 12 gauge. I own several of these guns both 1450 and 1401. However the single shot is quite scarce . Check gunshops gun shows and gun auction pages on the web. Any of the above can usually be purchased for 100. dollars or less. These are very nice old guns
Where can you find a scope that fits a model 31 JC Higgins?
The model 31 was sold with a JC Higgins scope in the early 1950's and an original scope is going to be pretty hard to find. Any scope for a grooved receiver should fit. The value is principally as a shooter as there does not appear to be significant collector interest.
The rifle was manufactured by High Standard although they did not put that model into the High Standard line. The design is very similar to their Sport King rifle although the Sport King is a pump and the model 31 is semi auto. The gun was available with an internal, retracting sling that is pretty slick and in 22 long rifle or 22 S, L, & LR chamberings. Some parts are available through gunpartscorp.com
How old is your jchiggins model 41 and what is it worth?
This cross-references to the Marlin 101 which was made from 1941 to 1977. However, in 1961 Sears discontinued use of the JC Higgins name, so your gun was made between 1941 and 1960. I saw a JCH-41 in exellant condition with 2 mags at he Puyallup, WA Gun Show with a price tag of $130.00 J.C. Higgins model 41 is a single shot bolt action 22 rimfire rifle, made by marlin. I bought mine brand new via the catalog in 1963. It was my first gun,I was 13 years old and worked all summer to get the money to buy it,and it cost $13.95.Don't know what they might be worth now,but I would not take a million dollars for mine.Mine shoots great and is very accurate if.

Where can you get a plastic stock for 101.1 jc Higgins single barrell?
Why would you want a plastic stock. I have this gun with a plastic stock and am considering replacing it with a wooden one. If I do, I will certainly be willing to sell the plastic one.
without personally shooting it and examining it .I cant tell you for sure , but here are some suggestions .Completely clean your rifle especially the breech block receiver and trigger group and magazine tube lifter and fallower 22 semi auto rifles are dirty shooters and fouling in the action can cause problems such as jamming .Sears recomends in their Mod 31 manual to compleatly clean Entire rifle every 250 rounds. also some 22 semi autos are very fussy about the type and brand of ammunition always use high velocity ammo I have good luck with federal high speed 22 LR the cheap stuff you buy at Walmart comes in 550 round boxes You rifle is fairly old it was made by High Standard for Sears in 1952 ITs 55 years old . High Standard guns are known for their High quality Your gun will also fire 22 shorts once again high speed only I own several of these guns .They are not known to jam very much unless they are really dirty I hope this helps let me know how you make out

Answerhoe long in inches is the JC Higgins 16 ga suppose to beDate of manufacture for jc Higgins model 60 shotgun?
The information your looking for can be found on the High Standard Collectors Association web page under links or GOOGLE "john stimsons high standard data",hope this helps
The model 60 was built by High Standard Manufacturing for Sears 35 years before any thing like a real slug barrel was even thought of .The gun is 45 +years old.Rifled slug barrel are a late thing of 1980s The gun was offered with vent rib barrel no poly choke but as far as I know it was full choke only . These are excellent old guns . The will shoot abuot any 12 ammo light field loads to heavy long range ammo no jamming very reliable . But they are vintage arms the gun was made from 1953 to 1956 these nice old guns should be apreciated for what they are not what they are not . It would be easier to go after a more modern gun. Than to consider modifing and possibly botching up a nice old model 60 The barrel on this model is screwed into the receiver and is not interchangeable by the typical user. Both plain and ventilated rib barrels were available, and Sears offered a model with their 'PowerPac' style external adjustable choke. We get barrels from time to time and sell them to the gunsmith trade for replacement barrels. They require specialized tools and knowledge to install. As mentioned above, they were never available with a rifled barrel. One option might be to have your existing barrel fitted for interchangeable choke tubes. This will run about $125 give or take, not alter the appearance of the shotguns, and you will be able to use whatever choke constriction you desire as well as rifled choke tubes for slugs. The JC Higgins Model 60 is NOT a collectors item, so you will lose no value in modifying it.
That gun was made by Marlin for Sears, and those holes are not factory. Someone has drilled and tapped it for (probably) a Weaver side-mount base.
What is the date and value of a Remington Sportsman 48 20 gauge Serial 3820533 Code RXX?

How much would a 1930s JC Higgins baseball glove worth?
You did not mention the model of the glove, and if it had a player endorsement. The bulk of the value of a collectible glove relies on the player that endorsed it. Without one it will have a low collectors value, and rely on vintage baseball glove features, web style etc. Most likely the glove being from the 1930's it is a split finger, and without an endorsement would sell for below $30. Condition is a major factor as well.
Is there a bolt release for the Model 60 22LR?
Raise the bolt to the unlocked position, then pull the trigger while removing the bolt. That makes no sense. The Model 60 is a semiautomatic firearm, not a bolt-action. The old style Model 60 used the operating handle as a bolt hold-open. Pull the bolt about 3/4 way to the rear and push in on the bolt handle to lock it open. Pull the bolt handle back out and the bolt will be released to run forward. Newer Model 60's have a bolt release lever that extends down through the trigger guard.
