Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Rear: Brake, Back-up, Tail, Turn signal (3 bulbs, all # 3157)

To access the rear bulbs, open the liftgate and remove the two Phillips head screws from the side of the housing as shown in the center photo above. Slowly and firmly rotate the assembly away from the vehicle until it disengages from the ball pin socket that secures it in back.

Each of the three light sockets, all containing the same exact bulb type, can be removed by turning them counter-clockwise 1/4 turn.

Taillight harness connector

To remove the taillight harness, slide the red lock tab up and pull connector off.

Mine is an '89 and the power accessories are all on one fuse at the bottom left on my panel. The very end fuse and it's 10 amp. Hope that helps you. :)

Most likely it is in the power distribution box located on the passenger side of the engine compartment just aft of the battery. Open the cover, there is a diagram on the underside of the cover.

heater core may be leaking, check to see if liquid is antifreeze, use a white cloth to see if fluid is green or pink. smell may also indicate what the fluid is. if you are low on antifreeze in radiator that may be the cause. a heater core can be purchased at any auto parts store & can be installed by anyone with general knowledge of tools & automobiles. The wetness can also becoming for the air conditioner. If this is happening during the summer, that is probably the cause. Check and see it any of the drain holes are plugged up with leaves or dirt. I believe either the evaporator or dryer is also behind the dash.

you would have to look up your specific model on a website like autozone. on my 97 lumina, the sensor is 18.99. where it will cost you, unless you replace it yourself, is labor at the shop.

I was just quoted $200 for a crankshaft sensor replacement in a 1998 Chev Lumina.

1st there are no air bag sensors.there are impact sensors located on the front by the core support for the radiator. and 2nd why are you looking for the sensors? will be able to help with more information.

Gosh, do you have any idea where that sound comes from? Front or rear, under or over.... The more info you give equals a better answer....your question gets this answer. Since you had the time to post this you should have the time to correct the question and then expect a better answer.

Pop hood. There is a torx head visible from the top at the edge of the fender--believe its like a T-20 or T-25. The second one is a bit more difficult---gonna have to slide the torx head screwdriver between the marker (side) lens and the turn signal at the front of the vehicle. There is another torx screw, same size, in there. once removed, just pull out the lens. Install is reverse.

The idler pulley is located just under the A/C compressor. There is a bolts in the middle of the pulley that needs to be removed and the idler pulley can be removed. Sometimes these bolts stick and my need to be pryed off. You may also want to removed the radiator fans cow to give you some extra room.

That bulb is burnt out. When the circuit is not completed like with a blown bulb, the flasher unit will blink faster to let the driver know something is wrong with that side. It should only be faster with the side that is burnt out.

You have 2 fuse box's. One is located under the hood on the passenger side in a rectangular box near the battery. The other is located at the front passenger side, where you need to open the front door and see a panel that you can remove to show the fuses. Hope this helps.

The exact year and model of both the donor Jeep and the recipient Jeep are required for an exact answer. Some years and models 4.0L engines will interchange and some will not.

1993-1997 Jeep ZJ Grand Cherokee engines will interchange with 1991-2001 Jeep XJ Cherokees. You may have to re-use intake/exhaust manifolds, fan belt driven accessories, engine sensors, or the flywheel that were on the original engine.

1999-2004 WJ Grand Cherokee and 2000-2006 TJ Wrangler 4.0L engines will interchange. You may have to re-use intake/exhaust manifolds, fan belt driven accessories engine sensors, or the flywheel that were on the original engine.

XJ/ZJ engines DO NOT interchange with 1999-2006 WJ/TJ engines. There are significant differences in the motor mounts and the locations of the belt driven accessories.

Any major brand of your choice. Weight is determined by the manufacture. I think it is 5w30, but I am not 100% sure. Look in your owner's manual, or on the oil fill cap. If not listed call your local Jeep dealer to be sure.

look next to the firewall on the head . just under the valve cover and it will only have one wire going to it There are actually TWO on my 1996 4.0L XJ. One on the front - top of the head, and one on the driver's side-top of the head next to the rockerbox. The front sensor feeds the computer, the side sensor feeds the idiot light or temperature gauge.

It should be in you owners mannual.

Hi, I just did that and you open the rear hatch and undo the screws that the hatch door when closed hides, after you undo these you will notice the light assembly is loose and you just pull and then pull some more, I thought something else had to be holding in it but its just a little plastic knob that fits into a gromet, and its tight, pull hard and striaght out towards the back,, it will come out, Dale M

The factory alarm can not be disabled. The alarm is a function of the engine, body, and key computers. The alarm is reset by unlocking the doors with a key or remote. If malfunctioning a scan tool is required to diagnose.

You can't, it is part of the body computer.

Shifter may need ajusting . Could also be a bad vaccuum switch (My 88 Wrangler had that problem)

Using Automd it tells me it would take 5.2 hours and about $100 if I did it myself. If I got a shop to do it it says it would cost $442.93 = $336.20 in labor and $106.73 in parts.

02' Grand Cherokee did not come factory equipped with a cabin filter.

You can get one from the dealer as an accessory add on. it is located under the cowl at the base of the windshield on the right side .

Open up the hood, and go in behind the fixture where the light is located. Sometimes there is an access panel on top. Open it and reach down inside and grab the bulb's socket. Twist the socket a quarter turn counter clockwise, and pull out the socket. Grab the bulb, and pull it straight out. To replace the new bulb, never touch it with your bare fingers, as this will greatly shorten the bulb's life, if it even work's at all. Use a tissue or something else in that order to handle the new bulb. Push the new bulb into the socket, put the socket back into the housing, and twist a quarter turn clockwise to secure the socket into the fixture.
