FIRST YOU MUST REMOVE THE TWO DOG BONE MOUNTS(I THINK ITS FOUR SCREWS EACH). THEN YOU HAVE FOUR SCREWS ON THE FAN ASSEMBLY(TWO UPPER,TWO LOWER). THEN REMOVE THE TRANNY LINES, AND UPPER AND LOWER RADIATOR HOSES.

98 lincoln continental 0-60 7.5seconds quartermile-15.9 seconds pretty quick. 99 has slightly more power dropping the time to 7 flat 0-60 and 15.3 quartermile.

Which sensors....theres a lot of them

For a 1977 Lincoln Continental , 400 cubic inch ( 6.6 liter ) V8 engine

( the oil pressure is 45 to 75 PSI at 2,000 RPM )

this job requires a special tool that you can buy or rent from the local auto parts store , ask them how to use the product because telling on a computer just doesnt cut it, you need to visually see it, trust me.

Have you tried to do a tune up on your car? This would entitle new plugs and wires, Oil change, PCV valve, EGR Valve, fuel filter, and possibly O2 sensors is all I can think off the top of my head. You should also check your tire pressure. All of these things will make your gas mileage decrease if they are not in working order or your tires are not at the right PSI.

You can check your PCV valve by pulling it out and shaking it. If you hear a rattle then it is good and does not need to be replaced. I hope this helps you out.

you can drive with the air bags deflated but you will feel every bump in the road and heaven forbid a big bump, it not very smooth ride because its a hard ride, that's what its called.

Just below left hand (front of engine compartment) cylinder head.Easiest to access from underneath.Follow the thick red cable at the battery positive post,downward to where it attaches to the starter.

Draw a scetch of the belt path first first. Remove the 4 bolt pully that will not allow the removal of the belt. Install new belt and replace pully.

70-170 lbs

Observe how the belt runs across the pulleys. Now find the belt tensioner( it has a pulley and is usually located toward the top of the belt pathway).The belt tensioner is spring loaded and they have a provision for a 1/2" or 3/8 ratchet to be inserted to pry to relieve the tension in order to remove the belt. At this point remove the belt and reinstall the new one.If your model does not have this provision, a tool by the LISLE company is available at NAPA stores for belt removal. I hope this helps you. All stepps above are correct except: There is no sprin on this model year. There is a nut behind the idler pully arm that must be loosend. then the tention will be relieved. retighten the nut while prying with a 1/2' ratchet or breaker bar.

Note: These instructions refer to the driver's side headlight. I assume the passenger side headlight is the same, but I have not verified that.

Remove the black plastic cover at the front of the hood compartment. It is secured with five velcro pads. The glue used to hold these pads on has probably worn out, but that doesn't seem to matter.

At the back of the headlight housing, there are two metal clips that need to be removed. Push towards the rear of the car as you pull up on them.

The headlight housing will now slide forward 4-6 inches.

Pull off the wiring connector at the back of the headlight bulb. There is a tab on top that may need to be pushed up. After you remove this connector, there is still one other wire that will remain attached.

There is a plastic ring around the base of the bulb that holds it in place. To remove it, twist it clockwise (when facing the car from the front) 1/3 of a turn. It should come off easily.

To remove the bulb, pull it straight back. You may have to wiggle it if it sticks. Be careful you don't bang your hand up when the bulb does come loose.

Installation of the new bulb is the reverse of the above steps. Be sure not to touch the glass of the bulb as the oils from your skin will ruin the bulb, possibly causing it to explode.

While the headlight housing is out, you should be able to figure out how to change the turn signal bulb. The car I worked on had a damaged turn signal housing, and I can not tell you much more than that.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

it is a failure of the solenoid for the torque converter lockup in the transmisson.

Need more info, such as engine size, etc.; but, it sounds like the engine siezed.

the compressor should be under the hood on the front passenger side, it should be.

FRONT SEATING AREA, DRIVER SIDE, UNDER DASH, MOUNTED ABOVE KICK PANEL. Wrong answer above: The 98' Lincoln Continental does not have a stand alone flasher relay even though the auto parts store will sell you one for around $9.95 it will not work on a Lincoln Continental (works on other Fords though). The turn signals and emergency flasher function is handled by the "Multifunction Light Control Module" part #13c788 and is located to the right of the steering column under the dash. Cost is about $600 at the dealer or $50 at a junk yard.... I know I did the same thing.

Then I guess you didn't check everything...;) Could be internal...there's no telling really unless a professional trouble shoots it. Or unless you have recently had an reoccuring problems and can elaborate either on those or on any noises you've had with the car recently. That's all I have with the lack of info unless you want to try resetting the ECU which would involve you disconnecting the battery, pumping your brakes, letting it sit for 10-15 min then reconnecting and starting her up. heater core may be leaking or hole in floor

More then likely there is a short in the keypad on the drivers door.

your vehicle is set for a timed lights out, do the lights go out agter a certain time if you sit there and watch it? if so there's a timer set which is mostlikley the case , haller back if you find the answer to see if im correct, it should say "auto lamp" on the dash.
