I'm having a very similar problem on my '96 Camry. Everything worked fine on Sat. ; I cranked up Monday, and all of a sudden had no power windows or locks. According to the owners manual, the fuse is a 30 Amp Type "C". Parts houses like Auto Zone carry around 20 misc. fuses for the 96, but unfortunately, not that particular one, so tomorrow morning, Im off to the dreaded dealer.
According to the owners guide, that fuse is located behind the coin holder on the lower left instrument panel on the driver's side, and, at least in print, looks easily accessible. however, you have to remove the lower instrument panel as well to access this fuse, which is number "34".
With any luck at all, this problem will be just a blown fuse, due to the original fuse's metal fatigue. a little. I'll report back hopefully tomorrow.

Parts like CV joints (half shafts) should be replaced new. You have no idea how much time is on used ones. You could go through the entire process of installing it then have it be bad ....and a bone yard will not guarantee them.

It is underneath the throttle cable/bracket. Looking at the engine with the hood open, it's to the right of the intake manifold, just above the throttle body, mounted on the valve covers. There should be two hoses connected to it. Mine was very hard to get out because the TB bracket is directly above it and it makes it very difficult to get any leverage to remove it. Have you removed the plastic cover in front of the upper intake manifold? I believe doing this will lead you to it.

You have to cut/break the front grill and then remove the latch by loosening 4 bolts. Afterwards, you can pick up a used grill at the auto wreckers for about $75. Still cheaper than having it towed and repaired.

I hope someone answers your question because I have the same car with the same problem.
I already had a connector it the car for trailer lights. It used to work & seems to still be working. But when Haul plugged in trailer lights to it, our turn signals stopped working. The connectors from the trailer were real ratty; I wouldn't be surprised if they hooked up something backwards. They also had to run a separate ground wire to get the lights on the trailer working. I think they had the turn signals working at some point when they were hooking it up.
Symptoms (all started when trailer hooked up):
- Turn signals completely dead. No lights, no flashing, no turn indicator lights on dash board.
- 4-way flasher also completely dead.
- Alternator light on dash & brake warning light on dash both on.
- Problem same whether trailer hooked up or not.
Things that still work:
- Brake & parking lights work fine on car & trailer. I repaired the connections on the cable coming from the trailer and it seems to be wired correctly. I tested the trailer lights with a spare battery and they light when they should.
- All fuses visually look good (both the ones next to driver & the ones under hood).
- UHaul connector installed on car has built in indicator lights (wonderful feature!). Lights come on when they should for parking & brake. But they don't come on for turn signal, which is no surprise.
I can't find the flasher (if there is one). I can't find my owner's manual. I can't find any clues or fuse diagrams on the Web. (Google has a lot of strange Russian websites that don't have anything to do with the car-annoying.

Possible solutionTry the hazard switchthis cuts out the supply to the indicators to prevent overloading the circuit
if the switch has gone faulty the indicators do not normally work.
How does one remove sludge almost the consistency of mud in the radiator of a 2000 Ford Taurus?
I don't know for sure, but can't you just get a radiator flush kit to get out the sludge? It's worth asking the guy at the parts house about.
In such extreme cases of cooling system sludge build up, I would take it to a shop for a professional flushing and cleansing.
I would suggest a car radiator specialist type shop - they'll know how to NOT cause more damage to the system.
