What does OBD code P0050 mean on a 2003 tiburon GT?

P0050 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank2 Sensor1

symptoms
Other than the MIL light illuminating you may not notice any performance issues.

cause
A short in the O2 sensor heater circuit or the sensor itself
A faulty O2 sensor heater
Wiring or connectors are broken or frayed to the sensor or relay
Bad PCM or ECM

The fix
Correct wiring short or loose connector found in inspection.
and/or
Replace the bank 2 sensor 1, O2 sensor
Replace PCM if circuit has failed and no wiring issues present, good O2 sensor

What does OBD P0132 code mean?

Bank 1 (same side as cylinder #1) sensor 1 (before catalytic converter) oxygen sensor circuit voltage high.

What is error code p0451 for 2006 ford e150 van?

Trouble code P0451 means: Evaporative emission control system, pressure sensor range or performance problem

What does P2BAC code on 2011 Ram 2500 diesel mean?

EGR Deactivated ( Plugged? ) NOX exceeds allowable spec.

NOX are Oxides of Nitrogen and nasty smog causing junk.

Common for this year to plug the EGR cooler or have an EGR failure.

This is also one of the codes you run into if you don't do your emissions delete correctly.

P0442 OBD-II Trouble Code?

Trouble code P0442 means: Evaporative emission control system, small leak detected

What does code P0594 mean on a 2002 Dodge diesel truck?

Trouble code P0594 means: Cruise control system, servo control - circuit open

What does the engine code P0016 mean?

P0016 - Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor A)

symptoms
The engine may turn over but not start up
The engine may rattle near the harmonic balancer which means that the tone ring is damaged
The engine may start up and run, but run rough

cause
Timing chain is stretched, or timing belt skipped a tooth because its worn
Timing belt/chain not aligned
Tone ring on the crankshaft slipped or broken
Tone ring on the camshaft slipped or broken
Faulty crank sensor
Faulty cam sensor
Bad wiring to crank or cam sensor
Timing belt or chain tensioner faulty

The fix
Check the cam and crank sensors and their wiring for damage. If you see broken/frayed wires, repair.
If you have a scope, check the cam and crank patterns. If a pattern is missing, suspect a bad sensor or a slipping tone ring.
Remove the cam gear and crankshaft balancer and tone rings for proper alignment, make sure they're not loose or broken and they haven't sheared the alignment key. If they are correctly installed, replace the sensor. If the signal looks normal, then check the timing chain/belt for proper alignment. If it's not aligned, check for a damaged tensioner.
Also check that the belt or chain isn't stretched. replace and recheck.

Camshaft/crankshaft timing misalignment.

What does a P0125 error code and rough idle mean on a 2000 Ford expedition?

The reading is all the same for all types of cars nowadays. It's either your car is running lean or rich. Mainly because one of your O2 sensors is probably defective, meaning giving out a bad signal. The trouble is not in your coolant sensor. If you have an OBDII reader (with freeze frame or real time reading option), look in to the voltage output of all your O2 bank sensors. Normally, it's suppose to fluctuate between .04 to .08 or sometimes, a little bit over than that. But the main thing is it's suppose to fluctuate. The fluctuation in voltage is then sent to the computer to calculate the proper mixture of your gas/air. If one of your O2 sensor is defective, it'll either just be on a steady (fixed) voltage readout. In that case, it's time to replace that particular 02 sensor in order for the computer to calculate proper mixture of gas/air and avoid the mysterious P0125 code from coming back again. Because of the bad signal that the defective 02 sensor is giving out, the computer will give a wrong calculation to compensate from the signal readout of your other sensors.

Where is the obd connector on a 1997 accent?

The 1997 Hyundai Accent OBD 2 port is on lower edge of dash next to kick panel

2003 Ford Windstar Error code 16 what is it and the fix?

code 16 is B2290 bad occupancy sensor, it's an airbag safety system code and you can find it under the passengers seat. You can check the wire connections there, but a good scan of the system will need to be done to really isolate the issue.

Pulling an evap code on a 96 ranger super xlt code is P1443 any suggestions on what the most likely sollution is?

hi, this code is a manufacture code.. it is for the pruge valve. it is located right by your battery.it has a vaccuum line coming in at the top on one side and one going out on the other side. and a electrical connector on the bottom. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***Unfortunately, the P1443 code doesn't point to any one specific part of the evaporative emission system. I had my 96 Ranger to a local mechanic who ran a smoke test on the system. He said it had no leaks, and recommended changing the purge valve or solenoid (the valve located in the vacuum line closest to the charcoal canister). I replaced it (it looked very rusty on the bottom) and yet the code came back. I then replaced the purge flow sensor (located next to the purge solenoid, closer to the engine) and the code has not returned since. The purge flow sensor was bad. There is supposedly another valve or sensor on top of the gas tank in this system, although I could not see it. So, the P1443 code can occur when any of the valves, flow sensor, or vacuum lines fail in the evaporative emission control system.
