How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora?

On the passenger side there is a large black fuse box cover that has to be removed and then you reach thru the small hole to the lamp... might be easier to unplug in place and then twist it.

Driver Side - remove the air filter assembly to reach the lamp.

How do you change the left front wheel bearing in a 2001 Oldsmobile aurora?

everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the local library should have a SHOP manual available in the reference section--make copies of the right info and read up..you'll be a pro in no time ...good luck:)

Yes, everyone should have a manual. However, as the engine for this vehicle is a custom made Cadillac NorthStar engine, they DO NOT make a manual for this car. You may buy bits and pieces of information. I have gotten to know my GM/Cadillac dealer and they can be helpful. The right contact can print off diagrams that may be needed if you choose to do it yourself.

How do you jump start a 1999 Oldsmobile aurora?

1. Connect one end of the positive cable to the "dead" or low battery positive post. 2. Connect the opposite end of the positive cable to the positive post of the battery being used for jump starting. 3. Connect one end of the negative cable to the negative post of the battery being used to jump start. 4. Connect the opposite end of the negative cable to a good ground on the "disabled" vehicle.

Start the "good" vehicle and allow the "dead" battery to charge for 3-5 minutes. Start the "disabled" vehicle. If it doesn't start, allow to charge longer, then re-try. After the "disabled" vehcile starts, remove the cables in reverse order of connecting.

How do you remove cluster from 96 Aurora?

To remove a cluster from Amazon Aurora (specifically Aurora MySQL or PostgreSQL), you can use the AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, or SDKs. In the AWS Management Console, navigate to the RDS section, select the cluster you want to delete, and choose the "Delete" option. If using the AWS CLI, you can execute the command aws rds delete-db-cluster --db-cluster-identifier <your-cluster-identifier> --skip-final-snapshot to remove the cluster without taking a final snapshot. Always ensure that you have backups or that you no longer need the data before deletion, as this action is irreversible.

When it does start eventually1995 Aurora starter just clicks one time each time you turn the ignition Is this the starter failing because when it starts starts like a champdoesn't do it every time?

I would start by checking and cleaning the battery cables.Might be something as easy as that. Also I would try hooking up jumpper cables to the connections under the hood. this would elimanate the battery and all cables from under the rear seat. If it starts fine with jumpper cables trace it backward to fine bad cable. now the bad news,if none of this helps it is most likely a bad start solinoid witch is mounted on top of the starter. More bad news the starter is under the intake manifold. This is a a job to remove the manifold and injectors and wiring to get to the starter.Hopefully the lose or dirt battery cables fixes the problem. Good luck, hope this helps, Ben Parker, San Jose, Ca.

Where is the fuse box located on a 1997 olds aurora?

open the drivers door, there is one there. another is under the back seat.

I have a 96 Aurora and there are 4 fuse blocks. I bet your 97 is similar.

Your Owners manual shows where they are and what fuses are in them.

There are 3 locations not just one. It depends on the fuse you are looking for. One under the hood, one on the side of the instrument panel, 2 under the rear seat.

But if you don't have the manual here are locations for my '96...

There is a fuse block located under the rear seat next to the battery. It is called the "rear compartment driver side fuse block". Includes Electronic Level Control Relay, Trunk release relay, fuel pump relay, driver door unlock relay, rear defogger relay (lower zone) rear defogger relay (upper zone), 3 spares, Direct accessory power--asseccory relay and about 5 open spots. To get the rear seat out, lift from the front bottom and pull away from the back rest. Take care with the seat belts, remember how they go back when you put the seat back in (reverse order) Lift the seat out of the car carefully.

Rear Compartment Passenger side Fuse Block: breaker -- powerwindow- sunroof, breaker- power seat, breaker--headlamps, HVAC blower motor, Power control module PASS-key11, ignition3, ignition1, ;rear defoger, Trunk and fuel door releases and trunk pull down, heated seat, electronig level control -instrument panel, Exterior lamps, Bose stereo (if so equiped), power door locks, interior lamps, hazard lamps-stoplamps, parking lamps, heated outside mirror, fuel door release, battery thermistor, instrument panel--power antenna,-temote CD changer-- radio chassis, instrument panel--remote accessory power module-Oil level indicator-ALDL, Electronic level control, fuel pump, rear defog 1, rear defog 2. and a few open.

Instrument Panel Fuse Block: Is located on the left side of the instrument panel. (open the driver door to see it) to open it, push the latch to the left, then pull, and the fuse block door will open. In there you find... Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (air bag), Injectors, anti-lock brake system, left exterior lamps, turn signal lamps, injectors again, climate controls - magnetic speed, right exterior lamps, chime (ignition1) memory set, Powertrain control module, Auxiliary power, interior lamps, shift sols, linear EGR, cruise control, perimeter lights, driver information center, converter oxygen sensors, radio, windshield wipers, TMNSS, cigarette lighter, crank, air bag module, climate control blower. and about 3 open.

Engine Compartment Fuse Block: Air conditioning center, horn, fog lamp2, cooling fan 2, cooling fan 3, cooling fan, ABS main, ABS pump motor, fog lamp, horn, flash to pass, a few open.

The fuse titles I indicated are in order from top left to right to the bottom like reading a book. Count the open ones as you go since they are not included. The fuses themselves also indicate what they are.

I hope this helps you.

What does service stability system mean on a 2001 Aurora?

--------------------------------------- The "service stability system" light kept coming on periodically on my 2001 Aurora. A sensor needed replacing. I took it to a dealership and they took care of it. It wasn't expensive.

How can you enter your locked 1998 Aurora when the key nor the remote will work?

I hope that answer - "use a rock or brick" - was supposed to be a joke. You're telling someone to break a window that will cost almost $1000 (parts & labor) to replace, just to avoid paying a locksmith $75 to open the vehicle? Lubricate the lock liberally, for starters. When people use the remote exclusively for unlocking the car, the grease in the unused locks hardens up from lack of use and the lock wafers won't work properly otherwise. Work the key in and out several times to loosen up the grease and then try to turn the key. If the remote stopped working, replace the battery. The two halves of the remote will pry apart like a clamshell and reveal a disc battery (probably a 2032) that costs about $3. Radio Shack will replace it for you for a small sum. If you lost the key altogether, a locksmith can make a new first key for about $250. It's more expensive because the key has a chip in it that the vehicle's onboard security system must see to allow it to start. Don't whine about the price, either - it wasn't the locksmith who lost the key! A dealer can make a new first key, too, of course; expect to pay about $400.

How many miles would a well taken care of Aurora go before major repairs are required like engine and transmission rebuild or timing chain changes?

First, a timing chain replacement is not a major repair. With today's extented engine life timing belt and chain replacement has become part of routine maintenance. More information is needed to answer this question. Listed are just a few of the varibles involved. What, for instance is the contributors idea of "well taken care off". What type of oil and filter is used and how often is it changed? Where are the miles being put on the car(city.highway, a combination of the two)? Is the car subject to many short trips. What environment is the car driven? How is the car driven. Example, is it allowed to come up to temperature before working hard? Is the automobile operated by more than one driver. What kind of driver(s) operate the Oldsmobile. What type of load is the Aurora subject, one person, two persons..? Is the car used to tow? If so what and how often?

Where is the diagnostic port located?

Most commonly, the diagnostic port is located under the steering column, OR, in some non-USA made vehicles, in the "hole" where the ashtray is located. By pulling out the ashtray, the plug becomes visible. Usually it is a black socket about 3" long and 1/4" wide with about 20 holes in it. On my wife's 2000 1.3 petrol Spacestar, it is under the twin cupholder plastic insert behind the gear stick.
