There are two sites below worth your consideration. The first is a brief instructional on making a highly effective paper glider. The second is the homepage of Dr. Ken Blackburn who holds the world record for time aloft by a paper airplane. He offers several patterns for public use.

How can you make a model temple out of a cardboard box?

How do you make a human cardboard figure?

This would depend entirely on your skill level as well as what you mean by human figure. A 2D model is simple enough - just have someone lie down on a large sheet of cardboard and trace around them, cut out the silhouette and voila.

3D projects have lots of variety in their execution. It is a typical exercise in most art colleges to have students make 3D cardboard human models. Viewing a college art gallery or touring their workshops first hand is a great way to see their methods, techniques and results.

When working with cardboard, a X-acto knife is your best friend. That and a glue gun, depending on your style. Some people tear away the paper on one side in order to expose the paper ribs inside the cardboard. This makes the cardboard pliable. With the ribs exposed the cardboard can now be rolled into limbs, fingers, etc. Some artists prefer to make cuboid figures and so only score one side of the cardboard with their knife where they wish it to bend. This makes for cube-like limbs and features. Some like it difficult and cut each individual piece and reassemble it onto a frame or use styrofoam blocks as glue points to connect the panels to each other.

You will have to experiment and decide what style and look is the one for you and your project. If you need lots of cardboard you can request it by going to companies/restaurants/grocery stores that have a lot of incoming shipping - usually they just break down the boxes and ship them out to the trash or for recycling if not reuse. Make sure never to take cardboard that is wet, has been wet, or has organic mess on it (such as fruit or vegetable boxes) - they are not good material.

How do you make paper mache shield?

You could use a garbage can lid for a mold for a round shield. Use modeling clay to cover the handle and make the lid smooth.

You could also use a saucer sled for a mold if you want a really big shield. If you use one of these, you can get a smoother front surface by molding the shield on the side of the saucer you sit on. Lay the first layer of strips radiating outward from the center

  1. Lay the next layer of strips at right angles to the first.
  2. Alternate like that as you build up a half-dozen or so layers.
  3. After it dries, pop it off the mold and trim the edges.
  4. Lay more strips around the edge to give it a finished look.
  5. Attach the arm straps of leather, rope or cloth by cutting slots through the shield and hold them in place using staples, glue or brass fold-over brads.
  6. Lay a few more strips of paper mache over the straps on the front side to cover them.
  7. Glue cardboard cut-outs to the front surface to create decorative details.
  8. Let that dry and decorate it with paint.

Don't rush the project. It needs to dry well before you paint it. It might take a week to do it up right.

See the link for some authentic round Roman shield designs.

How do you fix a stapler that bends the staple crooked?

When you say it bends crooked do you mean it goes -almost- flat? well if so, the silver plate that moulds the stapler has most likely been turned around. press it down and it should pop out and just switch it to the right way.

OR

buy a new stapler :p

the problem is that the top end becomes misaligned with the crimping plate and the staple does not hit the curve, but instead hits the top of the plate. I just fixed mine. There are two guides either side of the staple tray on the base. I put a piece if alum flashing over one of them to hold the head in the proper position and glued it so that the barrel was pushed back where it is suppose to be.

Or u can buy a new one.
