Name a pest you might call an exterminator to get rid of?

NONE. If a pest, such as rats, mice, termites, wasps and bees nests, deer, strays, your neighbours pet, spiders, woodlice, wild rabbits etc. invade your place, then get advice from an expert, rather than killing it, or do your homework and evaluate the problem area.

Can you use roundup on the weeds and grass growing around the bases of edible grapes?

Yes, we do it all the time. However, you have to be careful not to get any on any green plant material of the grape. Not on leaves, not on shoots, not on green canes. Because of this, it's best to try to spray the weeds when they are small. It's best to do it earlier in the day so the pesticide can't volatilize (evaporate) and get on the rest of the plant or neighboring plants.

Always read and understand the label instructions BEFORE using any pesticide!

Is it dangerous to put bug killer on green bean and tomato plants?

It can kill more insects than you need to. It can be sprayed or dusted on the leaves to keep beetles and grasshoppers from eating them but overuse will kill the leaves. It can be used on the ground and on the stalks of the plants to kill pill bugs and cutworms but this will also kill the worms and possibly the bacteria that the plant needs in the soil. You should not use any poisons when the plant has blooms on it as this will kill the pollenators that the plant needs to propagate. For some pests, its best to just pick them off by hand and kill them, such as catepillars and hookworms, also known as the tobacco worm. Most poisons that are used like malathion and sevin dust are water soluable and can be washed off of the beans or tomatoes with plain cold water.

Do rats eat termites because if they do and you have rats living in the walls of your home then should you let them stay there?

I've never heard that & if they did, I would not count on them to get rid of a termite problem where most are not accessible anyway. You definitely don't want rats taking over your house. There is a food source & it may beshared think about it.

Does the 3 day right of rescission apply to a pest control contract?

It should,

Personally I would speak to their service manager or someone in authority only,if they give you a hard time you might try to be apologetic in tone and tell them you think they are wonderful but you just can't afford it. Before you do anything though, read what you signed. Just about all standard let you cancel with 30 days notice no questions asked. If it's written up that way, the most they can hope for is 1 month anyway-even if past the 3 days. This is usually the easiest way out since you leave them absolutely no base to argue with you to keep it. If they continue to force it on you with that on the table they can't complain when you don't pay them-but they won't once you put them on notice.

Truthfully most the bigger residential companies have so many fires they can't waste too much time on you and almost never report to the credit bureus or spend too much time on collections, they don't have the manpower.

once you are out of this mess, there are many small companies that don't insist on a contract, and you will probably get better service-at least then you can get pest control without any risk if you don't like it.

Few natural enemies prey upon elder bugs since their populations suffer few major disease or predatory threats. Spiders are considered minor predators while birds fail to feed in any significant numbers, probably due to the ability of the bugs to emit an offensive odor.

How do you get rid of slugs from vegetable gardens?

Avoidance of water-logging, coarse particles on the ground, and removal manually or mechanically are ways to rid vegetable gardens of slugs. The garden visitors in question favor moist, smooth-surfaced environments which maintain life-sustaining humidity levels and water sources without jeopardizing body exteriors and interiors which can be maimed or terminated by roughness. Removal needs to be effected with glove-covered hands and typically into a soap water-filled bucket.

Can a felon get license to do pest control in Texas?

Probably if you are careful. the company has to be bonded, not you but they MAY do a background check and if they do it will knock you out. You also may not start your own but backgrounds cost money so if you have good references, you can do it. Your driving record will actually be more likely to be checked. As far as the applicators license from the state since it's entry level, as far as I know they are not running backgrounds on those.
