Why do we use Feet and not metric in aviation?
The aviation community does not change things unless they absolutely have to because unnecessary change kills people. Aircraft instruments have always been marked in feet. If they changed to metric just because metric is More Modern, eventually an ATC somewhere would call out a metric altitude, a plane would think it was in feet and fly there, and wind up getting into a mid-air accident with a General Aviation plane. Feet work fine in aviation, so they'll keep using feet.
What aviation purposes ceiling is defined as the height above the Earth''s surface of the?
lowest broken or overcast layer or vertical visibility into an obscuration.
What kind of house can you afford?
The old rule of thumb, that has worked well for me, has been a mortgage of no more than 2.5 times your income. With house prices as they are, that requires quite a large down payment. However, if you manage to do that, you will not ever be upside down on the home loan, you may get more favorable financing and the affordability of your payments will be decent.
What was life like as a pilot in WW1?
A life as a pilot was very hard as the life expectancy for a new pilot was just eleven days! Also they were not issued with parachutes because the Generals thought they would escape too quickly! A lot of them died from this. They also had a gone to kill themselves if their plane caught on fire!
How many instruments are in a quaret?
I would suspect that 4 instruments are in a quartet. I don't know how many are in a quaret though, sorry. actually, there are four. defiantly. i play in one to be precise. if you think, QUARTet has the first five letters of QUARTer. hope this helps
What will I need as a pilot to fly to Canada or Mexico?
You will need a pilots license, ID/passport to fly into Canada or Mexico.
What is an En Route Flight Advisory Service?
An En Route Flight Advisory Service is a branch of the FAA. it is composed of men and women trained in weather reporting, traffic, and other factors having to do with flights between airports.
Efficiency is reduced because the propeller exerts less force at high density altitudes than at low density altitudes. Less efficient slow plane
Which type of weather briefing should a pilot request to supplement mass disseminated data?
An abbreviated briefing.
Were kamakazi pilots used in hiroshima?
No.
Hiroshima is one of two Japanese cities attacked & mostly destroyed by US B-29 bombers with one atomic bomb per city in August 1945.
Kamakazi pilots refers to Japanese pilots flying aircraft in suicide attacks against primarily US ships at sea south of Japan in places like Okinawa, Iwo Jima, Philippines, etc.
A pilot is someone with the specialist training and qualifications to manoeuvre a craft.
This includes, aircraft, hovercraft and ships.
In shipping, a Pilot is employed locally, to assist the ships captain in negotiating the confined waters of a port. He has local knowledge of a port and in most cases, vessels over a certain size, have to employ a pilot before entering port.
Everywhere apart from the Panama canal, the pilot is there for assistance only and does not have full command of the ship. That remains the responsibility of the officer of the watch and the captain.
What is the least dangerous job?
Sitting in a padded room coloring. Actually, I think it would be something in an office.
Why is radio important for a pilot?
It provides communication with air traffic control centres along the plane's route. Without it - there would be no way to warn the pilot if there was another plane on a collision course, or if there was bad weather ahead, or if the plane was too low to fly over a mountain etc...
How much does an actor make for a television pilot?
As a series regular, an unknown actor in a network pilot will generally make about 20 to 25K per episode, with a guarantee of six shows if the pilot is picked up. A more well known actor might make 40 to 50K per show, and a a star will typically make 100k or more. I'm an actor in a 2013 pilot.

It is a small trial survey to test the quality of the questionnaire for a larger survey.
an aircraft is accelerated while on an east or west heading.
What are the purpose of trigonometry?
The purpose of trigonometry is to gather as much accurate measurements of distances given little information about angles or other distances. It is used in engineering, astronomy, city planning, drafting and designing, and construction.
Trigonometry helps surveyors determine sides of a triangle which are either inaccessible or difficult to access. Knowing the length of a single base line enables the surveyor to define the other elements of the triangle by measuring the angle to the inaccessible points from accessible points.
Consequently the heights of trees and tall buildings can be determined by knowing the distance to the base of the tree or building. Similarly locations separated by, for example, rivers or busy roads can be determined by angular measurement from positions of known distance apart on the other side of the obstruction.
Survey control marks used for the mapping of countries were in the past established by triangulation from a known base line.
These days much of the survey control is undertaken using GPS equipment which uses satellite signals to determine positions on earth. However the theory behind the location of these positions also uses trigonometry and spherical trigonometry.
Usually it's used to find a missing angle or length of a right triangle. Of course there is more to trigonometry. Any way you can use sine, cosine, and tangent, to fine the missing angle or length
The purpose of this lesson is to review angle measures, right triangles, and the geometry of the unit circle.
Compute angles in radians and degrees and convert between the two.
Work with similar triangles.
Understand basic trigonometric functions.
Make simple computations for special angles.
