How do you replace the timing belt on a 1992 Plymouth Acclaim?
First of all is it the 2.5L 4-cyl or the 3.0L 6-cyl? A Haynes manual for any Dodge or Plymouth using your engine actually has plenty of info. I used a manual for a 1989 Dodge Caravan to change the belt on a 1995 Plymouth Acclaim 3.0L. The engines look identical.
If you have the 3.0L:
Quick connect fuel lines are in the way.
Will have to support the engine to remove the motor mounting.
Remove the large motor mounting engine bracket.
Remove the serpentine belt.
Remove upper timing belt covers.
Remove various pulleys AFTER setting TDC.
Unbolt and move power steering pump and A/C compressor.
Absolutely definitely should replace WATER PUMP too because it is driven by the timing belt.
After belt off, check timing belt tensioner by spinning it. Pros will replace it with timing belt.

This isn't true for say, a 1989 Acclaim which has the front wheel bearings pressed it, as well as held in by 3 bolts into the spindle. This I know as Ive replaced both my front hub (wheel bearing) assemblies on my 89 Acclaim LX.

First make sure you have the correct temp thermostat for your car. If you went with a cooler one, your heater won't work correctly. If you have the right thermostat, you probably have a bad heater control valve or your adjusting cable isn't connected. Check those things out. Your heater core could also be bad.............if the car is not overheating any more I would check that.
Where is the thermostat on a 1992 Plymouth acclaim?
The black radiator hose comes out of the upper left of the radiator. Follow it to where it connects to the engine block at the top center of the engine. It is just to the left of the ignition coil. That is the thermostat housing. Remove the bolts holding the housing, and the thermostat will be there.
Several things may cause this. Make sure you are not lugging the engine when driving. You may have a fuel filter that needs replaced, you may need to change your plugs and or plug wires, the gasoline you use may be of a lower octane value. Buy higher octane gas. Try using a fuel additive to clean your carburetor.

Why would the cooling fans not come on in a 2000 Buick LeSabre?
I verified that the 2 coolant fans come on at low speed once coolant temp reaches 223/225 degrees I thought this was too high a temp so I checked with local Buick dealer. They claim 220-230 is still considered normal operating range. If you want to get cooling fans to come on earlier and at hi-speed just turn on A/C or defroster. With A/C on temp never seems to get above 205. If the engine isn't coming up to teperature, they will not engage. If they are not getting power due to a relay or wiring. If the computer is getting false information about the engine temperature (temp sensor?), they will not come on.

How do you fix a windshield wiper motor on a 1995 Plymouth accaim?
I had a problem with my 94 Acclaim wipers on one side.

How do you you tighten the alternator belt on a 1991 Plymouth Acclaim?
The adjuster is located underneath the alternator. Three bolts are involved, the first to loosen is the main bolt that hangs the alternator to its bracket, the second is underneath the unit on the left hand side - this would be the actual locking nut. The third is down underneath yet towards the front of the alternator; it actually moves the entire alternator forward or backward thus tightening or loosening the belt. Once the belt is tight, tighten the lock nut and then the main attaching bolt. About the lock nut, it is part of the adjuster mechanism underneath the alternator; both the lock nut and adjuster bolt are difficult to see especially if you have air conditioning like I use to.
