It's the large center button on the steering wheel with the Fiero Pegasus logo. If the horn is not working there's a problem with it.
Actually the horn is located under the front bumper, I believe on the drivers side.
the only thing you can do is track back your wires where they are fried and try to fix them or worst case you might have to replace the wiring harness itself. good luck

Where is the 86 Fiero trunk release relay located?
The Trunk release relay is under the dash on an '87. It is to the right of the steering column next to the radio. It's usually a white or yellow relay. Held in a spring clip so it's easy to pull out.... The relay will have a White & black wire on it. That goes right to the trunk release mechanism If you connect 12 volts from that wire and earth it to a body ground it should pop it for you.

There is a Radiator shaped cap in the engine compartment, usually on the passenger side of the engine. When the engine is COLD take the cap off, pull on the metal tab you can see, this will remove the thermostat, top up the coolant. Replace Thermostat and cap when full.
Then remove cap at the radiator top up there and make sure the over fill bottle is full to the cold line.
The system may require one top up like this after filling the system, if it requires more than one it has a problem!
The radiator cap is critical in the Fiero system and should be replaced every couple years just in case. If it messes up you will have all sorts of weird problems.

Sure you could do that by replacing the intake and TB with a carb. Your emissions will go up, your mileage and drivability will go down. I would not suggest doing it.

open the front hood, on top of each light assy. there is a black knob, turn it in whichever direction you need to open or close. if you want them on automatic, try the relays first. there is one for each light & one main for both in front of drivers light.
How do you replace the alternator on a 1984 Pontiac Fiero?
first remove neg cable from battery loosen the bolt on the top of alt. a gear wrench is the best. at this point remove the small nut from alt on back that holds heavy gauge wire, this is your charging wire. Also carefully undo the clip fro the alt this is your fielding or senser wire , there are two wires in one. Then next you must remove bottom bracket bolt. This all should come out under the front of engine. if you have trouble two bolts hold the bracket to engine and this will require some tonge twist and a spitual cuss to remove. Answer on mine I found it easer to hold the engine with a ratchet strap then remove the upper dog bone and then slowly and carefully let the engine tip forwarded just about an inch then remove the alternator out the top I guess that some of the fieros had a small removable panel in the passenger side wheel well to get to the alternator but mine is an early run 84 and dose not have this option.

You can set the throttle opening to prevent wedging and sticking but this should not change the idle speed.

Does the motor still run? If so the plastic gears that drive the lift arms to raise the h/l assembly are stripped.
