THE BENEFITS AND CHALLENGES FACING THE RADIO INDUSTRY IN KENYA The radio plays a vital role in Kenya today. Its role has been emphasized by the wide coverage of radio in Kenya even in the most interior areas. Radio unlock code for a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire?
I assume you don't have a code to get the radio working. If this is the case, I know of two avenues you can take. First, you can take your car to a GM dealership and they can find the code, at least so I'm told. I'm also told that they put it to you for that service. I've heard $50 quoted.
The other answer is good old Ebay. There are guys there who will sell you the instructions on how to find the code. The last time I looked, I think they were getting about $10 for it. That would be the route I would take. If your radio is old and has only a cassette player, you can consider buying a used radio already unlocked on Ebay. I did this in my '96 because the radio was beat up and the display had quit working. I think I paid about $45 for a newer cassette deck radio. CD models are there for sale too.
Good luck!

Why does Radio not turn off with ignition switch on vectra 2005?
is it still on when u take the key out?
Why do radio stations start with k?
Back in the 1920s, when there were enough radio stations that governments
decided it was time to step in and regulate them (to avoid having their signals
devour each other), there was an international conference to set up a
workable worldwide system, and unique station identifications for each nation
were created. The USA was allocated 'A', 'N', 'W', and 'K' as the first letter in
all station call-signs licensed in this country.
So far, commercial stations (AM. FM, TV) have been given call-signs beginning only
with the 'K' and the 'W', but ham stations and other services get calls beginning
with 'A' and 'N', in addition to 'W' and 'K'.
To answer your question directly: The 'W' and 'K' mean that the station with that
call-sign is licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to operate in
the USA.
Similarly, Mexico has 'X', Canada has 'C' and 'V', Spain has 'E', Germany has 'D',
Russia has 'U', etc. etc.
Would calling a radio station charge you?

When did people communicate with radio's 500 years ago?
Radios did not exist 500 years ago. Marconi demonstrated his first radio in the early 1900s and as first built and demonstrated only one transmitter could operate on the entire earth, if a second transmitter began operation it jammed the signal of all others. It was not until a few years before WW1 that the concept of assigning separate channels to transmitters and a mechanism to prevent interference was worked out. It was not until the 1920s that voice and music could be transmitted over radio. It was not until WW2 that Motorola built the first 2-way radio (Walky-Talky) for the US military.
