What is the purpose of journals and professional papers?

Professional papers: Used and written for communication between two companies or within the same company so that research isn't repeated unless nessicary, and so that mistakes can be made clear, and so that everyone understands policiy and many other reasons in almost all fields.

Journals: Used to keep yourself up to date mostly and keep your work organized and clearly defined in case someone else were to pick it up, its not as demanding to be as literately impressive, but expected to be clear. They are used in the study of many different things and used in quality assurance, research and many other science fields-and most everything is a science in one form or another. If you were required to study a grasshopper for example (you could say a toaster or anything else) and remember all the qualties such as color variation, parts, movement, behaviors, specialties like exoskelton thickness, ect. You would have to write it all down and keep it organized.

What I can't understand is how all these questions that pop up on this sight are the same questions that are online at the Axia College of University of Phoenix. Isn't that considered plagarizm? I mean people ask these questions, they get the answer and use that same answer for DQ question assignments. The way I see it, it isn't right that students should do this when students like myself actually think about the answers, and the students that cheat get away with it.

But in the long run these students really are only fooling themselves and they don't learn a darn thing.

What are some ethical considerations for a PR campaign?

Let's start with the basics: PR is about getting news out. Being ethical about it means that this news is communicated in a way that is not deceptive: Obviously, it can't be a straight-out lie. That's simple, but the question gets more complicated as you consider the use of generalizations and broad, non-detailed statements. For instance, you can't state a fact that has an unstated or understated disclaimer. Saying "In studies, American men prefer boxers" when your "study" included only yourself, your room mate and your brother. Likewise, you can't state that a product has health benefits simply because you think do; it must have a recognized organization confirming this fact using accepted standards. It's also unethical to quote statistics or people out of context; if the statement was not made by the third party about this specific situation, they can't be used as if they were. PR often uses short, simple statements in order to get ideas across quickly; this is required due to peoples' short attention spans and the preference for mentally digestible bites of information. Bottom line: these are basic, over-arching concepts but every type of PR medium has its own consideration and often-abused methodologies. When taking on a PR projects (either as a hired gun or in-house resource), the very easiest ways to execute a PR plan are either to: 1) Have a product/service you that you truly believe in and can be honestly boastful about. 2) When the product isn't ideal or easy to promote, look for a specific angle or aspect that #1 above does apply to. Being unethical (which generally means untruthful in this context) very often leads to negative backlash when people figure it out; this puts you is a position often worse than when you began

Are literature and business related?

Literature is a form of art and business is just that, business. The main purpose of good writers (and by that I mean true geniuses who have contributed essential things to the world and their peers everywhere) was not to sell (that is often a slow process and makes only a few writers rich, not necessarily the best; marketing strategies and fashions are very strange, you sure know that) but good writers often want to tell a story and or spread some thoughts, feelings or ideas. Of course, there are many decent editors, printers and book publishers all over the world who strive to give us good books while at the same time make some profit out of that, which enables some writers to become professional and try and make a living out of their own talents and efforts. And some printing and publishing firms make a lot of money, that is for sure. Charles Dickens, for instance, was tremendously popular in his lifetime and so was Dame Agatha Christie. These days, we hear that Ms. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, is doing very well financially speaking. I am very happy for them all. Those, however, are rare instances. Historically, most writers have been iggied by their contemporaries to the point that they needed another job to avoid starving (many great writers actually DID starve or almost.) So please, DO write if you feel you have a talent. We can all use enlightement from each other. Success, fame and riches are... other stories. Very good luck to you!
