What is the basic salary for mechatronic engineer?

The average pay for a "starting" mechanical engineer is about 69,000 and the starting pay for a "starting" electrical engineer is about 75,000 according to resources. (it is recommended you check for your area specifics) and since a Mechatronic engineer incorporates aspects of both of those fields one can probably expect pay within the 69-75,000 range.

Working of choke in tubelight?

The choke works as an inductor(filter) induced 850V to 1100V in starting,by strarter make and break of the circuit. After glowing the tube light choke work as inductance and provide 110v to circuit, here the function of starter comes. It helps the chocke to brek from the circuit and to 110v from 850V.

When will robots inherit the Earth?

They already have. Haven't you seen The Matrix?

Science FICTIONMatrix, as you well know, is science fiction, as I seriously doubt that the earth will be around long enough for anything close to the Matrix will be even feasibe/possible.

Sure, we have hybrid cars that use electicity and gas, but the stuff of sci-fi is, even now, a good ways off.

Also, even the possibility that robots could inherit the earth would mean that man could build such a thing, which is impossible, as the concept of entropy is all too true. Fyi, entropy is a word that says that all things are dying or winding down, and that is certainly true for man, as humans begin to die as soon as they are born.

One more thing, the mere fact that machines break down all too often, regardless of preventive techniques, means that until we try to built things that need practically no upgrades or repairs, the new world order by robots is just and will continue to be only a figment of our vain imaginaton. Man will never build something this great, if our brains cannot truly figure out how to build Stonehenge and the pyramids, or even how to really solve these enigmas at last, which may never happen.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Real Answer:

Entropy is not that things are dying. Entropy is the increase of disorder in the universe. Increased disorder makes more things possible. If things are perpetually "dying or winding down", then looking at the individual is completely myopic. Looking at the whole of humanity and all life on earth, life is becoming ever more diverse, both human and other.

As to the ability for humans to construct robots that would "inherit the earth", all they would have to do is wipe out the dominant species: human beings.

If there is any robot that we make that will inherit the earth, it will be a genetically engineered biological weapon.

As for the Matrix idea, it is not science fiction. THERE IS NO SPOON.

What is the difference between Lego mindstorms RCX and NXT?

Actually, a lot. If you are buying this for a child, I recommend buying the NXT. These pieces may be a little bit small (ages 11+), but they hold together better, the NXT has much better interface, and the robot possibilities are much higher. With RCX, you use regular Lego bricks. And on the other hand, NXT uses special strong-lock bricks. Also NXT is compatible with Lego's newest building system. This uses metal pieces which are lightweight, sturdy, and completely safe. NXT is much, much better than RCX. Does this answer your question.

On the other hand, the RCX comes with an infrared transmitter. You have to pay extra for one of those on NXT (via bluetooth). The RCX also has a better programming GUI. It is easier for beginners to understand.

Is a robot like a computer?

A robot IS a computer, and vice-versa. The difference lies in where they get their information from. Robots get their information from sensors, stuff exisiting in the real world taking real world measurements. If you take those things away, then it will fail at whatever it was supposed to do.

Computers simply use any data presented to them however they were programmed too. and don't have any interaction with reality aside from the keyboard, mouse, and screen. And even then a computer will perform its job just fine without any of those things.

How does a robot work?

Basically a robot consist of a lot of wheel and rope, controlled by motor, which is in turn controlled by a software.
A motor have certain angular speed, so by using flip-flop, a kind of thing that hardware maker use to count time, we can control the angle of movement.

For example if the speed of the motor in the robot arm is 600 rpm, and we want to move the robot arm by 36 degree clockwise, we will need to turn on the motor for 0.01 second or 10 microsecond. If we want to turn it 36 degree counterclockwise, we have to turn it on for the same time but with different electricity polarity. Of course in reality you will have to consider that the motor will need time to reach that angular speed.
Because we will need to turn on the motor for 10 microseconds, we will need to set the flip-flop counter accordingly. For example if your flip-flop frequency is 1MHz, which is 1000 count per microsecond, you will need to set the down counter to 10000.
This is the basic logic for controlling one wheel of the robot.

If we are to make a complete robot, we have to make a software to control it, which basically means that the software have to control how many microseconds each motor in the robot have to be powered, and the polarity of the electricity used to power it.
To get a clearer picture about how robot work, you will need to study about the mechanic of wheel, motor and rope, and you will have to study about digital logic.

What are Isaac Asimov's three laws of robotics?

1st Law: A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2nd Law: A robot must obey orders given it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3rd Law: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law. sciece sucks
