97 Saturn that starts just fine but when you turn it off it takes at least one hour to start again?
My 95 Saturn sidid that....turns out when the starting got hot it would not function properly
Where do you check transmission fluid level on a Saturn with manual transmission?
I dont think manual transmission cars use transmission fluid.
What year engines interchange with a 1995 Saturn sc2 vin 7?
you can use any twin cam motor from 1992 to 2002, assuming you use your original intake manifold. it will bolt up to any of the twin cam motors. the only problem you might run into is your vehicle uses two coolant sensors, newer motors, 96 and up, only use one. the solution is simple though. the spot where your second sensor mounted into, is cast over in the newer heads. you will need to drill a hole, and tap it to fit your sensor. I've also seen some people place the sensor between the oil dipstick tube and engine block, not recommended by any means, but it does work. you will also need to switch over all your sensors. Crankshaft, Knock, Oil pressure, purge solonoid if you use a newer engine. Also 1992 to 1994 use non-electronic EGR. In order to use these motors you have to use a 1994 California Emissions EGR adapter. This is used to be availble from Saturn but is no longer. You can find them at junkyards if your lucky. Otherwise you can make your own, it involves making a base pate and welding a tube to another base plate to adapt the bolt pattern.
-------------------------------------------
You will also need new exhuast manifolds and downpipe for '99 engines or later. Its easiest to get a '94-'97 for plug and play operation. As said you will need a EGR adapter for '96 and up.
Why is your Saturn wobbling after using fix a flat?
That depends on two factors.
1. does it "wobble" at low speed (10-20 mph)? If so, the belt of the tire has slipped. Once the belt has slipped the tire is unsafe and should be replaced before you drive the vehicle at high speeds. A slipped belt can completely separate and can cause damage to the vehicle as well as causing the vehicle to become dangerously unstable. Belt separation is common when a tire is driven flat or low.
2. if it only "wobbles" at high speed (50+ mph), the tire is out of balance, probably because of a settling of the fix a flat compound.
In either case, the tire should be taken to a qualified tire specialist for replacement or repair.
What would cause a thermometer on a 93 Saturn SL2 to go up and down?
The temperature. Are you talking about the oil temp gauge? If it spikes quickly and stays hot while the car is running it could be that your thermostat is stuck closed. Easy fix, just don't drive it that way. Check your coolant (antifreeze) level, too. Make sure there is enough in there and that it's not leaking anywhere in the system (hoses, radiator, etc). Most service stations will do a pressure check for next to nothing.
Where is the alternator located on a Saturn SL?
Altenator is located on the back bottom side if the engine below the power steering pump. To remove it you will need to take of the front passenger wheel and remove the splash shields. Two bolts hold it on. It will take some twisting, bi=ut that is the way the factory manual tells you to take it out.
Saturns use the "permanent" antifreeze... the gold looking stuff.
What is the maximum tolerable temperature for the radiator of a Honda Accord 2002 to work properly?
Should run approx. 220 Cooling fan should come on at 235
How do you change 2000 Saturn lock cylsw ignition key wont turn?
First get a new key from the dealer. Do not make a copy of it from the local hardware store. The dealer cuts it to the VIN.
How do you replace alternator 1997 Saturn SC2?
Access to the alternator is much easier if you remove the passenger side mud shield. To do that, lift the front of the vehicle, put it on jack stands or some other secure and stable blocking. Remove the passenger side front wheel, then examine the mud shield and find the pins that hold it in place. Carefully remove the pins and work the mud shield out of the fender area.
With the mud shield removed you should be able to see the alternator and get to the other components at the head end of the engine.
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery! If you work on the alternator with the battery connected, bad things will happen!
Release the serpentine belt tensioner.
Remove the bolts holding the alternator.
Carefully disconnect the electrical connections to the alternator and note which wire goes to which terminal on the alternator.
When replacing the alternator, just do everything in reverse order.
How do you install a valve body into a 1995 Saturn sl2?
Check out sunbelt valve body builders they specialize in saturns. Their number is 813615560 or at sunbeltvalvebody.com
Where is the oil filter located on a 2001 Saturn SL1?
Check behind the engine underneath, usually towards the right hand side. Below the alternator.
it sounds like your wires have been reversed, check your light assembly against the other side that you did not change and make sure they match. You more than likely have a ground problem. These type problems are very difficult to find. Good luck.
Does a Saturn SL have a 6 cylinder engine?
A Saturn SL -- and every S-series Saturn -- has a 1.9 liter 4 cylinder engine. The SC2, SL2, and SW2 have a DOHC (dual overhead cam) engine; the SC1, SL, SL1, and SW1 have a SOHC (single overhead cam) engine.
How do you replace the factory sunroof on a 1999 Saturn SL2?

How do you replace a door window on a 1995 Saturn?
The hardest part is just getting to the mechanism.
Saturn's are just a little different; you get to the window mechanism from the OUTSIDE of the door.
Remove the OUTSIDE door handle. Note that there are two pins, one on each side of the door handle. Lift on the door handle as though attempting to open the door, then press the pins out. The handle should then come off.
Once the door handle has been removed, remove the OUTER door skin. Open the door fully and remove the retaining screws that are around the door, then carefully lift off the outer door skin.
Clean up any broken glass, dust, debris, leaves, dead bugs... then remove the old window mounting track and make certain that the bolt spacing is the same for the new window. There were two types of window hardware used on Saturn's in the mid 90's, don't get the wrong one. The most notable difference is the bolt spacing. on the metal track that is attached to the bottom of the window.
Beyond that, just work the new glass into place, it's a pain and you just have to work with it, possibly even removing the window operator mechanism, just to get it out of the way.
It isn't too bad, just be careful with the glass.
Why won't the compressor kick on for a 94 Saturn sl1?
An AC compressor will only engage when the "low side" refrigerant pressure sensor detect that it is above a specific PSI level. A faulty sensor or more likely a low refrigerant pressure will prevent the compressor clutch from engaging.
There are quite a few other conditions that can result in an inoperable compressor as well:
Faulty clutch
Faulty relay
Blown fuse
bad connector
Damaged wire
Faulty controls on the dashboard...
To properly diagnose the problem will require the assistance of someone who can investigate the AC system.
Where is the low pressure port on a 1996 Saturn sl2?
I found the port this way. I looked at the diagram on the inside of the hood area on the front. It tells where the serpentine belt track travels and shows the AC is right in the front on the right of the belt track. There are two lines with knobs on them (side by side) coming out of the AC unit. The one that is on the inside is the Low pressure port. It has the slimmer metal tubing.
What does the quad driver do on a 1989 Buick Century?
The quad driver is basically a transistor that acts as a switch to connect or disconnect the fuel injectors or ignition coil to ground. It's inside the main computer. If yours is bad, find the cause of the problem before you replace the computer, or the new one will fail too. Usually shorts out due to a bad injector.
