How many years of schooling is required to become a reiki therapist?
I have been schooled in Ascension Reiki, and am a Level 13. It includes the Usui Reiki attunements, plus others. I received my training and attunements one attunement per week, and I didn't find it too stressful. But, it didn't take 'years'. The school I attend can be graduated I guess in 12 to 13 weeks. And you don't have to be a level thirteen to be a therapist, I believe it is level 2 believe it or not. (Which is part way through the Usui portion.) .
Basic Reiki (level 1) can be learned by most people over a weekend, but becoming a real Reiki practioner (level 2) takes longer. The process of channeling and becoming proficient with Reiki expands over longer period of time - depending on the students capabilities and the teachings. To become a professional Reiki-healer can take years of practice if one is to obtain many real life cures. To become a highly skillful Reikimaster or teacher builds on the prior 2 or 3 Reiki levels and is an ongoing process. For some teachers it may last a lifetime, because Reiki is not just a healing, but also a spiritual path.
You should be professional and comfortable at the same time. * HELPFUL HINT* Wear blue, not pink. Be conservative. Don't over do it. Avoid looking like a HOT MESS at all costs! Anyway, to be serious say: Hello, my name is blabla(your name), and I would like to have the position of bla(the position). PS always start with hello my name is. ORRRRR....... say: Hello my name is bla. I'm here for the job. Be prepared with a resume or form. BYE.
How do you build up your self esteem?
Self esteem is formed by successfully overcoming obstacles. Children have "small" obstacles like learning to walk, potty training, and learning social cues. However, many parents like to "protect" the child from unhappy consequences of life, and often mistakenly feel that they are helping the child. A child who learns from the consequences of their own actions and discovers how to avoid those consequences ends up feeling more self confident and better able to handle other problems in the future.
How do you use more than 10 percent of your brain?
This myth began when a psychologist reported that they had isolated the functions representing 10% of the human brain. Regions like Broca's area, Wernicke's area, the amygdala, and the hippocampus-to name but a few-are all areas that perform highly specialized functions. It just so happens that approximately 10% of the brain's precise functioning is known to us (yet that is not to say that the other 90% does nothing).
Lesioning the Broca's area will result in the losing the ability to speak (called Broca's aphasia), while lesioning Wernicke's area will disrupt language comprehension.
Unfortunately, the reporter at the time didn't fully understand or failed to interpret the findings accurately. What followed was the report that humans only use 10% of their brains.
However, this report is completely untrue. The other 90% of the brain is certainly being used, we just don't understand how exactly. No scientist can point to a diagram of the human brain and show you were dreams are stored. Nor can they pinpoint where memories are kept, or where the olfaction (smell) lives. However, we dream, remember to pick up milk, and can smell the difference between our lovers and someone else's without fail.
A good analogy is to compare the brain with a car engine. If you car's top speed is 200 mph, and you drive it going 20 mph, you aren't using 10% of your engine. If all cylinders are firing, then you are most certainly using 100% of your engine. This very much equates to the human brain. Whether you are dreaming, reading, or just lounging in front of the TV like a vegetable, you are always using 100% of your brain.
Believe me, this sounds like a good answer... but, it just can't be this simple (if you don't believe what i said, then just look at the concluding paragraph of the last guys/girls answer and try to figure out why it should be this simple).
I think that this is because we only use10% of our brains to THINK. We, of course, would have the abilities of the 5 senses as well but, I don't think that we should underestimate the power of the brain. This is because, what if, by some way we could use the other percent, that's left over, to our thinking power or something deeper than that. I don't really know much, for I'm 17, but I do know that we have to think deeper in order to solve this.
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE... why is this? Maybe because we just need to learn a little more to fully understand why it is that way and how it is that way... which in the end will help us find the answer to what we need.

Security means a feeling of safety. Insecurity is the opposite, or failing to feel safe. Insecurity is usually caused by lack of belief in yourself. An insecure person does not believe that they can succeed at things. They do not trust themselves or other people. They do not have a good feeling of self-esteem and confidence.
An individualâ??s aesthetic value placed on an object that makes them feel good. One example is the feeling you get using the latest iPhone device around your friends.
Of course, you are. Being beautiful doesn't always have to be in the outside appearance (Ok fine, sort of). But in the end, it's your character that can make you stan out in the crowd. Stay happy. Stay beautiful.
-With an objective point of view and no regard to inner beauty-girls in general are all just beautiful. They always look different from each other, which is a good thing. It makes an interesting mix. I've come to notice that over the years. If you aren't so sure about your beauty, just believe in yourself and you will see it come out.
How do sociopaths victimize others?
Well, you are dealing with someone who has no conscience and no ability to empathize with others. Sociopaths can be as mild as being simply selfish and narcissistic, to being serial killers. Essentially, a sociopath with take, take, take, and even hurt you, and have no remorse for doing so. Reciprocating kindness is not a concept they comprehend. With very little exception, there is no effective treatment or cure for this disorder.

What is Psychosocial Crisis Trust v Mistrust?
The psychosocial crisis of trust versus mistrust is a stage in Erik Erikson's theory of psychosocial development. It occurs during infancy (birth to 18 months) and centers on a child's ability to develop trust in their caregivers and the world around them. Success in this stage results in developing a sense of security, while failure may lead to fear and suspicion toward others.

There are many reasons for "cutting". Many people do not know how to deal with mental pain, so they might reason that physical pain will take their mind off of mental anguish. Often times, the person doesn't know how to cope with the problems they face, and if they just talk to someone and vent they wouldn't feel the need to cut. If you can't talk to someone, try some exercise. It's a good way to release frustrations and clear your head.

What age does self-esteem really matter?
Self esteem matters at all ages.
Self-esteem starts in childhood with esteem from parents. Usually, it's parents' attitudes to simple everyday things that matter. For example, do parents assume as a matter of course that their children will be competent or incompetent? Does a parent assume that if an 8 year old is asked to carry a tray with glasses of cola that he/she will spill the drinks? Does a parent assume that a child will be punctual or late, and so on. It is important that parents instill a feeling of worth and capability in children from the time they are able to do things. This will go with them their entire lives.
How sports increase selfesteem?
Sports can create a positive boost in self esteem by creating an environment of support and care that celebrates achievement and development. Additionally, individuals who play sports learn confidence by having meaningful peer relationships.
Simple. In two words: Frightened and Threatened. Narcissists are often originally drawn to confident people with high self-esteem. That is because they need to use them, rest in their light for a while so to speak, then they suck the life out of them when they are not always receiving the adoration they need. If you criticize just once, you pay. The attacks start, and the narcissist is then on a road to lower your self-esteem to make you dependent and frightened so you do not leave them. The thing is, they are the ones dependent on YOU! They are frightened that if you are gone they will not be able to draw their Narcissistic Supply from you .
Never, worry about the Narcissist. They survive in spite of acting like they won't (it is a ploy to manipulate and control you). They will play the victim for a while, but all the time they are just looking for another source of supply. Sadly, they will find some unsuspecting person who will be drawn into their web for a while and the cycle will repeat.
The best way to improve your self-esteem is to get awayand continue your therapy. Let your therapist help you gain the strength to leave or you will NEVER, EVER get your self-esteem and self-respect back. As long as you stay with the narcissist he will chip away at you. He will remind you of your "sins" against him which is what he will consider your therapy. He will pretend he is supportive, initially, because he is too cowardly to fight you. But underneath he is furious and very FRIGHTENED that you will figure him out and leave him, and he will not have you to insult or belittle anymore in order to boost his own ego. And, after you stop your therapy, he will get even more aggressive in his attempts to beat you down. Narcissists are always plotting to emotionally destroy those closest to them. It is their basic trait.
I would like to add this:
I could not agree more on what is said above. Your therapist is your best ally on these situations, they are trained on all aspects of the human mind, so to speak. And yes , they know exactly how the narcistic person operates. Never fear.
PS: I am psychology major taking advanced courses. ! Hope I have been of service.
