== == Simply wonderful. Sure there are hard times, but adversity makes you stronger.
The simple fact is, no ones perfect. Someone could go their whole life and not realise how they are until something significant happens that wakes them up. Sometimes its just sudden too, and no one knows why. Maybe these people finally realise how they were to thers, and they have found a way to make up for what they did by doing acts of good to other people. Maybe it's their way of asking forgiveness. People change. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not. When it is for the better, its something to take note of. A positive decision almost always ends in a positive way. Give them a chance to shine, and you might just see what their true colors are. Remember, not everything is as it seems. Maybe what they are doing now has been at the back of their minds clouded with denial. Remember No one and nothing is perfect. Never was, never has been, and never will be.
It is called "hustling".
How do you make fun of someone?
What you do is ignore them but if their your sort of friends but not situation then say stop and say everyone has problems and just cause i Have this doesnt mean you should make fun of it.
But most importantly try to believe that your the person you are and you dont care what other people say youll move on and live and maybe they would regret doing it to you.
An abuser is nothing more than a scavenger and picks his victims very carefully. He may not consider himself as "picking victims" but he always goes for women of all ages that are quiet, shy, timid, and many times loners.
If a woman is still living with her abuser and she shows any sign of strength the abuser will try his best to threaten in any way possible to keep control of her because she is threatening the environment he has created around himself.
Since you managed to get away from him (I'm so proud of you for that one as I know it isn't easy) he doesn't care much about anything and least of all you. You're just the one that "got away" and he'll find another woman he can abuse and on and on it goes. Abusers are more interested in feeling secure in the safe environment they create around them and that means ... he/she is in total control.
Don't give this guy another thought and enjoy your new found freedom. I feel you have a hint of regret about leaving this man, (as many abused women do) and feel you might need his approval. DON'T DO IT! You are doing just fine on your own and you're stronger than you think. Remember, he's the bad guy, and there is nothing wrong with you that a few counseling sessions won't fix.
If you haven't gone for help, please seek out an "Abused Women's Center" in your area and join some of the programs. You need to build your self confidence back up.
Good Luck & Stay StrongMarcy
AnswerYour right Marcy...the insecure part of me wants this creeps approval but then the healthy part of me does not care. It means that you feel that you didn't spent enough time with her before she died. Or perhaps you miss a lot of things from her. But it doesn't mean that she want to say something important to you or wanting to deliver extra ordinary message to your family.
The metaphor of carrying something or someone around on your shoulder or back refers to your feeling responsible for that burden. In your dream, your deceased grandmother feels like a burden to you, and you have a sense of responsibility or guilt. But in your dream she wants to lie down; that is, she wants you to put her down, to stop bearing responsbility or guilt because of her. In the dream she also wants to speak, suggesting that she has information, probably about your sense of guilt. Altogether, this dream strongly suggests that there is information you need to learn about your grandmother that will help you put down this burden of guilt.
It sounds like your sister is jealous of you, which is normal for siblings (brothers or sisters). Maybe try being nicer to her, do thing the complete opposite from the way you used to do them between your sister. I mean, be super nice and forgiving to her. Be interested in what she is doing, it won't be easy but it might work. Treat her exactly the way "you" would like her to treat you. Please note; do this slowly though, don't shock her too much all in one or two days.
What is the medical condition when a patient has an altered body image from the real one?
Body Dysmorphic Disorder-A patient mistakenly believes that their physical appearance is imperfect or even grotesque. Eating orders tend to fit into this category. Ie: the anorexic person who weighs 60 pounds and is stil diets because they look fat.
Does stress effect your self esteem?
Yes, stress can impact self-esteem by causing negative thoughts and feelings of inadequacy. High levels of stress can lead to self-doubt, increased anxiety, and a decrease in confidence, all of which can contribute to lower self-esteem. It's important to address stress in order to protect and improve self-esteem.
Self-provoking behavior refers to actions or thoughts that deliberately incite or instigate oneself into a particular emotional or psychological state. This can range from engaging in activities that trigger certain feelings or moods, to purposely thinking about past events that elicit strong reactions within oneself.
Is self-esteem different in males and females?
I don't want to be sexist, in either direction, but I think that there is a difference. Females are more modest and more likely to have low self esteem, while males are more confident and more likely to have too much self-esteem, turning them into a show-off. Of course, this is just in general. There are tons of exceptions.
Heres my question: Are the reasons for this psychological or sociological? I'm sure part of this is caused by an evolutionary difference in the nature of men and women, but how much of this is just a social issue? Do men today just try to "act tough" so that they will be socially accepted, or do they do this for more instinctive reasons? Of course, it is a bit of both, but how much of each? I would be interested to hear what other people have to say.
This could turn into an interesting debate.

Women and men have different self-esteem functions because they have different issues in life.
OK, well, Women have different emotions and Women is more sensitive and emotional than Men which makes a women more vulnerable to critizism and putdowns, s instead of letting it go over their head, they take it in. And many low self esteem formed in an adults childhood, perhaps at school or highschool which is when boys are most nasty to girls. Hope this helped!
yes their is difference, plus the question pretty sexist because self esteem is different in everybody a gay dude could have lower self esteem than an ugly chick see you got g
I deal with stress by practicing mindfulness techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, and exercise. Additionally, I prioritize self-care activities, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and seek support from friends and family when needed.
Is positive thinking and faith the same?
Although faith will lead to positive thinking it is more than that and different. Positive thinking is really something that comes from within oneself and is a decision to think in a certain way about life or certain events in life. For some it is a whole way of life and in that case it may even become like a 'faith' or 'religion' in itself.
Faith on the other hand is based on something outside of oneself. In the case of the Christian, faith is placed in the Lord Jesus Christ. It requires knowledge so that one knows what to believe. So, even though the results may in some ways similar, faith requires an object in which to believe whereas positive thinking is generated from within without the necessity of a particular object on which to focus.
There are some similarities as faith in the Christian sense will definitely result in positive thinking, but this is not necessarily the Norman Vincent Peale sort. Positive thinking sort of becomes an end in itself whereas the end object of the Christian faith is towards Jesus Christ and loving and following Him.
--------------- Also, positive thinking is more of a worldly concept while faith is more of a spiritual one. Positive thinking doesn't always work because it depends on the severity of the circumstances you are in, although it can be a good thing to use. Faith is something God gives you a measure of then you keep developing it as you live your life. I see positive thinking as more of a temporary fix although it can help you. Faith, when developed has more permanency. Positive thinking as the word implies needs thinking. Faith on the other hand, only requires beliefs without questioning. If you think, then faith is just an illusion. answer to your question; No, they are not the same. It is possible that some confusion has crept in here. The question is asking about the difference between faith and positive thinking not faith and thinking. This is quite a different matter. Faith requires thinking or else one does not know in whom one is believing. It does not exclude it, but in fact encourages it, although the thinking process, like anything else in the Christian sense is to be under the captivity of Christ.
Positive thinking on the other hand, is a narrower concept and relates more to having a positive attitude to life or to certain events. Faith can exist even in the direst of circumstances whereas positive thinking may tend to deny them.
---------------- One needs to be careful when people are going through trials in life or grieving that we don't push looking positively at the person. There is a time in these areas when we need to walk through the negative side to get to the positive otherwise healing can be delayed as well as closure. I have had people so upset that I would not look positively at a situation they would literally break out in tears. Whew. If you look at the ministry of Jesus, he didn't tell people they were not sick but took them from where they were in the faith realm to where they needed to be. In this sense, faith is a stepping stone effect because we start at the bottom and end up higher usually.
Is it wrong for an incredibly handsome boy to have an obsession with his own beauty?
There are no positive connotations of the word obsession. An obsession is a compulsive preoccupation with something. Obsessions can often be debilitating or, at the very least, interfere with a person's ability to get along and interact with others. Excessive self-love or self-admiration is known as narcissism and is a well-documented personality disorder. Narcissists don't necessarily have to be handsome or beautiful, however. This web site has many well-developed answers regarding narcissism. But you also asked whether it is "wrong." That implies a moral issue or question. While pride and vanity are linked and known as one of the seven deadly sins, if a person suffers from a pathological psychological condition, it would be unfair to judge him or her as immoral. Yes, I do believe this person can be obsessed with their own looks. I've seen some young men who are always preening, working out, glancing in the mirror, posing and looking in the mirror and constantly aware of their looks and every move they make. I would call this an obsession.
Can you be a successful person if you lack self esteem?
It can be more challenging to reach success without self-esteem, as confidence is often a key factor in pursuing opportunities and overcoming setbacks. However, building self-esteem through self-care, therapy, and seeking support from others can help improve your chances of success in the long run. Remember that success is a journey and it's possible to work on your self-esteem along the way.
Will child line tell someone if you are self harming?
No, there are there for you to talk to, you do not have to tell them who you are or where you live for them to listen to you.
either there is a ghost/spirt/presents there or your paranoid either way get your home blessed.
Why are other peoples seats warmer than your own when you sit on them?
Great question. Because you were probably standing up or walking before sitting, your buttocks are cooler than a person's buttocks while sitting. So their buttocks, and yours too, warm up along with the seat. One could do an experiment to confirm this.
What does obesity do to you emotionally?
What you let it do. How does being to thin do to you/ How does being old do to you? How does any thing outside your soul do to you. Think about the power people give to things they have power over. Hard to get power. But, older and thinner and fat or whatever there is a word more powerful than them all. YOUR CHOICE! How you choose to let whatever emotionally. If you have a problem then make a choice to get others to help. But, I have seen very sad poor people, fat people, thin people, I have seen very sad pretty people, just the right shape people. It comes down to one word. Nothing. Obesity has nothing to do with emotions that you don't give it the right to have. It sounds hard but truth is not just to make you feel better for a time or two. Truth makes you better forever. Find the truth in that the flesh should NOT have that much power over the MIND or soul of anyone. Think about it. When you talk on the phone to a stranger, that can not see the obesity or the very thin is that not the true person? How others think now with obesity being as bad as the worst thing is far from the truth. A common wrong doesn't make it right. Nor should I think that a missing arm or leg should change a person. To much on the flesh has always been a problem from the Greeks to now.
Actually obesity can cause depression. The person can become very self conscious about what they do in public, feel bad about them selves and go home, eat food, and not go out much. Some people can't help being fat. It is people like the one who responded and answered above that makes the obese people upset, wanting to eat more. They need some comfort, so they go to food. Simple.
It means "not everyone is thinking about you at all times" therefor the fortune cookie just called you insignificant. You should be pissed at the guy who wrote it.
