The fire in Memphis was not near as severe as New York. Jet Planes flew through the towers and blew up. Now in Memphis, a fire started in the basement of an old church. The wind carried the embers to a nearby vacant old building and the embers went into the windows that were out because of current work being done to renovate them. The fire was nothing compared to New york. Jet fuel from the planes crashing into the Twin Towers is higher in Fahrenheit than a normal fire. The jet fuel blew out and down the sides of the building and ignited as it went and unfortunately between the blast and high heat many poor souls were vaporized.

It remains unresolved until Osama bin Laden is captured, killed or dies of natural causes.

No, it was an accident on BP's part. They failed to install a $500,000 valve which resulted in a spill that will cost them much more. Their bill so far is $69 million, it is expected to go into the billions by the end of all this.

No President Bush actually ignored rescuers that had helped during 9/11 until they pushed enough to get media coverage. There has been a large rate of cancer victims regarding the rescuers (including civilians that helped) from the smoke, dust and other toxins from the Twin Tower disaster. Many of the people have died of cancer and are continuing to die. They are being paid, but it will run out in 2009 and there is no word from President Bush that he will continue on with paying the high medical costs these families have to endure (including the many funerals rescue workers and their families have had to attend.)

Jumpers from the World Trade Center meant to escape the flames, smoke, explosions, and collapsing of the World Trade Center. While most knew they were going to die from jumping, they believed this death would involve less suffering than remaining inside the towers.

The World Trade Center sites are currently under construction. The memorial for the September 11th attacks has been temporarily moved closer to Battery Park. You can see the construction site from the Hudson. If you go to the site itself, you can see daily progress on the building. A few of the roads are closed off due to construction. There is a memorial shop where you can buy souvenirs, as well as several hot dog vendors in the area.

While not trying to be overly cute, falling does not kill you, only the landing. People did not fall they jumped to avoid death by the flames when they could not find an exit to escape from the carnage. It was a choice that no one should be forced to make but like the passengers on the hijacked United Flight 93 who chose to fight against the terrorists these people had to make a decision.
