Because the PS3 is more advanced than the PS2 and a game is software designed to be run by the hardware inside the console. The PS2 does not have the PS3 hardware needed to run the software. It doesn't even have the Bluray laser needed to read a Bluray disc so the software can be read. The PS2 components are not as advanced as the PS3 and even when the software says store in the harddrive there is no harddrive to store it into. The PS2 is a fine console and is becoming very popular in some regions of the world.

The PS3 is a step above designed for 1080P HDTV it is now moving into the 3D world and using the PlayStation Move controller or the Dual Shock 3 controller either of which will work with the PS3. Not only that, but it you have a PS3 without an internet connection your software has not been updated and you will not be able to play these games with a PS3

Not sure which grand theft auto you mean, but I if you mean gta IV games, then it is easy to get the cops to chase you and to get up into a good star rating. Just get Niko, Johnny or Luis to drive a strong, fast car, something like a Sentinel, and lob grenades out of the open window as you drive through a traffic queue. That usually gets a 2 star rated immediately and then, as the cops chase, just start lobbing grenades at them, or firing at them, and the rating will go up to 3 stars. Keep up the good work, and you will be on 6 stars very quickly. You have to remember than from 5 stars, the cops and NOOSE and sometimes FIB will start shooting at the car to smithereens, plus there will be snipers from the rooftops as well. If you can keep the stars between something like 3 and 4 for a while, you can have a great car chase. It is worth scoping out the area though, to find rat runs and areas where you can top up on jackets or grenades, or find new cars.

I am not sure of what you are asking. But the PSP has firmware (the stuff that makes the PSP have access to the internet, play videos, etc.). The discs to the PSP are called UMD discs. Pop those into the back and you can play movies and games that are on that disc. The Internet Browser is basic, but what do you expect? It is a gaming "console". Hope this clarifies things for you.
