There is really only one race of people: the Human race. What people now define as races are in fact imperfect categorizations of different physical features that people who come from within a defined geographic area have in common. It is man's nature to box and to categorize, and the "races" are just another example of this tendency with no scientifically sustainable method of drawing hard lines between the "races".
"Race does not exist. Racism does exist."
Charles Keyes, Anthropologist, University of Washington, 1996
Scientists usually use three races: Negroid, Mongoloid, and Caucasoid. Negroids would be what is called black, and originates in the continent of Africa. Mongoloid is what would be the far east of Asia and Native Americans. Caucasian would be what is called white (European), along with Middle Easterns or Arabs, Indians, and Hispanics/Latinos. You may be thinking, how are Indians or Latinos or Arabs Caucasian? Race does not just depend on skin colour, but features, and ancestry. All Caucasian ancestors come from the Caucus mountains, all African ancestors come from Africa, and all Asian ancestors come from the far east. Caucasian would be the largest group occupying about 4/7 billion humans. The next largest would be Mongoloid occupying about 2 billion, then Negroids with about 1 billion.
I think the Bible opposes "defiling oneself".
Jesus drank wine, so not necessarily. I'm sure medical use of drugs is not sinful.
If you don't have a prescription, yes, if you have a prescription than no, because it's a medicine It is illegal. You are breaking the law to use it, therefore sinning. There is nowhere in the Bible that Marijuana is spoken of, but God did want us to keep our bodies healthy and pure. Even in Jesus' day tobacco of sorts was smoked and scents (giving a feeling of euphoria) were accepted. This does not mean that Marijuana is good for you! There is in the New Testament, a passage that tells the followers of Jesus Christ to be sober minded. As a man who has smoked several square miles of Columbian in my younger days I can say without a doubt that smoking pot does not keep one sober minded. When you smoke pot on a regular basis, your thinking becomes warped, not sober minded. There is also the passage about following the laws of man, therefore, by breaking the law you are commiting a sin unto God. Galatians 5:19-21 refers to practices that cannot be part of those who will inherit the kingdom of God. One of these includes "witchcraft." We 21st century Americans think in terms of turning people into toads, or perhaps certain pagan rites. The Greek word translated "witchcraft" here, though, is "pharmacia", from which we get the word "pharmacy." Witchcraft in those days would also include mind-altering drug usage, which would include most, if not all, non-medicinal marijuana usage today. Those who have a relationship with Christ, though, shouldn't need "weed"
The bible does not ever mention the word marijuana, but in Galatians 5:20 it mentions as one of the works of the flesh. Sorcery/pharmakeus- (drug/drug abuse)which is greek. Sorcerers would use drugs as magic or medicine to calm people or make them fell good or in today's words stoned/high.
I think that if it mentions in the bible that sorcerers used marijuana to calm people or make them feel good, its considered medical. Medicines aren't against the bible, and since weed falls into that category, then i dont see why marijuana would be considered a sin. God gave us the world, he gave us plants, he gave us animals for our use. And anything grown from the ground made by god, its not a sin. Many would agree because more than 80% of America's population smokes marijuana to calm themselves and make themselves feel good, like being high. And I will live up to it not being a sin.
Notice there was no soap box anywhere on this page. Allow me to retort. The human body does not need a drink of alcohol or a joint or a blow job or a crack binge. In reality Nothing. Except food and water music prayer and meditation. Or I can't live without my cheese, if your contemplating being a vegan. YOU CAN if your ass would try. Find a support group. When you hear stories of someone strung out on drugs...then one day has a break down and near suicide...? comes from lack of trust in self...have some anguish from a screwed up childhood most likely. No offense. I type the truth. The body can do with out all of that external junk. Trust me or some one. IF you have or had kids would you want to see them strung out on meth? unless you have a bout with hating to brush your teeth then don't heed these words. That is all in the class of freewill. It is up to you...the bewildered to find it with in yourself to stop these destructive habits. Ask any knowledgeable bible guru, if Adam and Eve had these things! No. So no one needs cocaine, a razor cut or ecstasy! shrooms are nice! but not necessary. I have found if you open yourself to God, he helps. I have been through drugs, they don't help you. You may be so deep and love to lie to yourself. When you are in so much pain and alone, when the party is over and you feel like you want to off your life. You will naturally call on HIM for help. I'll mark my own words, Now, I will help you the best way I can to find your path, that is why we are here...to help. drew97tj@hotmail.com
Like anything else with the Bible, there are several theories. The Ethiopian Zion Coptic Church maintains that marijuana is mentioned a number of times in the Bible. You can find their explanation at http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/hemp/potbible.htm

Most hotel room Bibles are placed there by members of the Gideons, International, a group of Christian individuals (usually businessmen) who distribute Bibles to hotel rooms, hospitals, and, in the past, schools. (School distribution has been restricted recently due to court rulings invoking the "Establishment Clause" of the Constitution.) See the Related Link, "History of the Gideon Bible," to the left for more information.
To date they are probably the single most significant archeological discovery relating to the Bible. They confirm empirically, for all to see, what had previously been believed, namely, that the scribes who copied the Old Testament scriptures did so with the utmost accuracy. The few differences between the text of the Old Testament from Qmran, obviously much closer to the originals, and the surviving texts from much later confirms how greatly accurate was the hand copying process.
Further to this, a number of other important discoveries were among the Qmran manusctipts, including a fragment of the Gospel of Mark, old enough to be an original, dated before AD 70. The other significant find was an entire Isaiah scroll, thus refuting the documentary ideas of an Isaiah written by multiple authors at different times.
If you have a question about the Dead Sea scrolls, feel free to ask.
Answer 2
They are parchment scrolls found in 1947 in the Judean Desert, which date back some 2100 years. They were apparently written by a non-traditional group such as the Essenes, but nonetheless they demonstrate (in some cases) that the Masoretic Text is as accurate as tradition says it is.

Certainly not. The Iliad dates from 8th century B.C. , or perhaps a little earlier, and was not written down much before the 5th, while the Epic of Gilgamesh is at least a thousand years older, from around 2,000 B.C. Exact dates for the Mahabharata are problematical, but the oldest parts are ancient indeed, and easily as old as the Iliad
I don't think any of it is from the bible, although there is some vengefull language in the old testament, most of it is spoken by God himself. So where there is any resembleance between the prayer and a bible verse it is most always going to be because of the words spoken by God. Also, in the movie the brothers say to Rocco, "That's a family prayer...that's our $hit."

The Bible makes various references to bathing... especially in Leviticus. So, while the Bible does advocate general personal hygiene and cleanliness... there's no commandment for the general populace to bathe for the Sabbath.
Nor should there be any need for a commandment to appear before the Lord on the Sabbath "scrubbed and clean." It should be common sense and courtesy to clean oneself daily just to be around people. That way, you'll always be prepared for the Lord in that regard.
Jewish AnswerThe Tanach (Jewish Bibloe) doesn't specify that one must bathe before Shabbat starts. However, during Shabbat, fires can't be started, water can't be heated from cold, and electricity can't be turned on unless it is done passively according to Jewish law. These prohibitions would require one to take a cold shower or bathe which isn't very comfortable at all.
Yes, the slave ship was named Jesus of Lubeck. John Hawkins arrived with the first batch of slaves to the Americas in 1555.
Jason is normally interpreted as being an Ancient Greek word meaning 'healer.' Although some define it as being a Hebrew form of Joshua, which means: 'Lord is Salvation.' Additional comment by mariafadeout: it means 'healer' and it is greek. Some say it was Jason and not Theseas, who's father :king Aegeas had a "permanent wound" like they used to call it,but metaphorically.the wound was actually the burden that the kingdom was obliged to give 10 young men and 10 young women to the Cretan kingdom to be sacrificed.eaten by the Cretan Minotaur.. So after losing many young ones,Jason went with the next chosen ones,to kill the half-man half-bull creature. He succeeded and his town-wound was healed.. His father didn't know if his son would succeed and he couldn't wait for his son's ship to touch dock to find out.so he told him, before he left,to put white sails up,if he would be alive.Jason forgot that detail and went into the port with black sails.his father, watching from a cliff ,thought he was dead and jumped into the greek sea that took his name and is called until today the Aegean Sea..
If you are fortunate, good friends may tell you when you are acting selfishly.
Ask yourself if you are happy when you see someone else doing well, or when good things happen to them. An unselfish person doesn't mind sharing his possessions or knowledge freely with others, or putting aside their own plans to help someone else out who's in genuine need. Note that you can be emotionally selfish as well, shown in abusive, controlling, manipulative and cold-hearted behaviors.
answerIf your good friend told you that your selfish, and you discovered that you are, and you work to rectify that selfishness, then that's good for you. But, chances are, if you are really selfish, then you only think of yourself, and will accuse your friends of infidelity (?), enviousness, back-biters, etc. and there's a good chance that will you lost some friends... If you still have friends remaining.
You can also tell if you are selfish by feeling the back of your neck. This is just one claim, but it seems to have worked on most people. If the back of your neck (right in the center)has a deep spot, then it means that you are selfish. And yes, the deepness will go away if you don't do selfish deeds. This has even worked on me.
He did have 1 brother named Lahmi. The different interpretations of the Bible disagree on how many he had.
No, Jesus was the one in the center while I suspect Judah was the one in the entire blue robe. Art historians can give you the exact details of that painting. See your local art historian at an art museum.
Answer 1 Aleister Crowley was a Thelemite, not a Satanist. He did not believe in the devil. Satan is a Christian belief. Therefore, no he did not raise Satan.
Answer 2
Aleister Crowley called himself "the Beast" and "666", which is spoken of in the Bible. And the Bible states that the "Beast" gets his power from the Dragon who is that old Serpent, Satan the Devil. So he did deal with Satan
