Toyota Celica

The AM2 -CODE is a 30amp fuse,looking in my log book it comes under STARTING SYSTEM

I'm having problems with mine,it keeps blowing the fuse and the car wont start.Any help would greatly be appreciate, do not know where to start.

For Ignition. Your car will not start if this fuse blows, generally if there is a short.

No the chassis of the 1993 Toyota Celica will have to be modified to fit it. The transmission required also uses a 4WD system which will have to be custom made for the Celica.

First take out the old radiator then put in a new radiator.

First make sure you have correct make, model, year and engine type before ordering.

Third party suppliers will be cheaper than your local Toyota dealer, and will often deliver to your door - where your Carina will probably be waiting.

Buy and replace all hoses, particularly on old bangers like mine - 310,000 kms.

If you lose your drained heating circuit liquid when removing the old radiator, don't forget to add antifreeze to the new one according to your climatic conditions.

When done - sit back and smile contentedly at the $$$$s you've saved in labour costs by doing it yourself.

Oh my.. this is a VERY.. VERY.. complex and equipment-specific task! In other words.. if you have to ask, you are probably not equipped to do so yourself. Consult an auto shop!

The engine warning light for emissions might come on in a Toyota Celica if the Oxygen Sensors are bad. It might also come on if the catalytic converter is not working properly or is plugged.

A blanket question like that is almost impossible to answer that gives you any useful information. If the turn signal isn't working something isn't working, whether it's the turn signal switch, flasher, wire, fuse, connector or bulbs. Your challange isn't fixing the problem, it's finding which component has failed, then the rest of it is simple.

Ok this one is quite bit of work to get the headlight out i got my headlights replaced with Halo LED's so for you to get them out you need to

pop the hood and there will be 2 bolts holding it one at the very top of the headlight and second will be holding it on the bottom inner side twords the engine the third bolt holds it from the side for that one you will need to remove your front bumper

there are 4 scews i belive that hold the hood in place under your hood then there are screws that hold plastic splash guards under your car on the bottom of the bumper remove those then you can get to the very tip of the bumper that is held near the fenders

Remove the bumper and there will be your 3rd bolts holding the headlights in place from the outter side of the headlight unplug the lights and replace with new or when done what needs to be done

to put together do all these stepps backwords.

My factory shop manual is for a 1992 rather than 1991, but the only significant difference I've found so far is that my early '91 (mfg. date 10/90)

GT has the old distributor with the separate coil on the firewall rather than the one with the coil integrated into the distributor base.

The manual shows it buried under the lower dash where it merges into the center console, below and forward of the radio/CD player. I think the shortest route to it is by pulling the radio unit and maybe the ash tray under it Good luck with that; it's tight in there.

The res for the brake fluid is on the driver's side in the engine bay.
It is connected to the brake booster (the large "can" mounted to the firewall) it sticks out of the middle and has a cap with wires coming out of it from the float inside that tells your car to turn on the Brake light when it is getting low. It is slightly elongated with marks to indicate how full or empty. If you are losing a lot of fluid, be sure to look around each tire for signs that it the wheel cylinders for the brakes aren't leaking fuid. They can go bad and you will see a dribble where the fluid is lost. (inside of wheel, not outside)

There are two(2) oxygen sensors on a GT-S. One sensor pre-cat and on post-cat

The fuel filter location is inside the fuel tank along with the fuel pump in order to get to it you have to remove the back seats there's a video on youtube on how to do it just type in "Replacing fuel pump / filter on toyota celica Gt'' but the fuel filter can only be bought via internet because no auto part store carries it.

It's screwed on the bottom, left hand side of the Radiator, next to the drain valve.

It's also called, "Coolant Temperature Switch" in the Haynes Manual.

This all depends on which mount(s) you are wanting to replace. If it is the timing belt side mount. You will need to use a 17mm socket to remove the bolt in the mount. The mount has 2 studs with 14mm nuts on then that also need to be removed from under. If you are referring to the front/rear mounts, you will need to remove the bolt with a 17mm socket. Under the mount is a plastic cap that covers 2 more bolts (2 for each mount). These can be removed with either a 12 or 14mm socket. And since you said motor mounts i will not explain the transmission mount..but it is similar.

3" front housings w/passive radiators.

4" rear deck mounts (coupe only)

The original speakers were made by Fujitsu...heavy cardboard cones to

take bass tones. I suspect extra copper windings to absorb extra wattage.

When replacing, you may find it's better to add caps (capacitors) to block the lower frequencies, or speakers may "pop". Best Buy car audio sells them...call them "Speaker Savers".

Systems sounded great in 1989-1989, but unless you can get the replacements through Toyota, don't know where you will get speakers like that. Most after-market speaks are built more for efficiency and higher fidelity in the proper range -not for full-spectrum sound with bass. The radiators added deep midrange tones to the little speakers. I added a subwoofer to my trunk to make up for the lack of bass after changing speakers. Along with the caps, it sounds good. (I use two amps under seats...one for bass, one for treble/mids. I also have Alpine EQ's in each car. One has bass outputs and one doesn't, but takes high power inputs (which is good, because I am using the stock radio in the convertible and have to hide what I have from thieves. They think it's just a bogus system...yet I have a CD changer wired to the radio antenna. I hide the control under my seat).

price your starter at local auto parts store. most starters can be replace in about an hour or two. should only cost you for starter if you are going to do the work yourself.

in default controller settings its R1.... its called the "special" button just so u knw if you ever want to change it
