Some models might have the alarm module situated in the engine compartment or near the fuse box. 1983 Toyota Cressida ignition is dead but battery is ok?
You need to check:
1. Ignition Coil, Igniter, Distributer, and for faulty Spark plugs .
If you connect a timing light, and check each spark plug wire, you know if your getting spark.
Inspection of Ignition Coil w/Igniter1. Disconnect High Tension Wire2. Measure Coil Resistancea. Disconnect ignition coil connector b. Measure primary coil resistance. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the positive (+) (brown side) and Negative(-)(blackside) terminals. Primary coil resistance (cold): 0.4-0.5 ohms c. Measure secondary coil resistance. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the positive (+) terminal (brown side) and the high tension terminal. (the wire to the distributor) Secondary coil resistance (cold): 8.5- 11.5 k ohms3. Connect High Tension WireInspection of igniter1. Turn ignition switch on2. Check Power Source Line Voltagea. Disconnect the brown and yellow wiring connector b. Using a voltmeter, connect the positive (+) probe to the brown connector on the wire harness side and the negative (-) probe to the ground. Voltage: Approx. 12 V3. Check Power Transistor In Ignitera. Connect the brown wiring connector. b. Disconnect the coil cord from the distributor. c. Disconnect the pink and white wiring connector. d. Apply voltage {(2-5 volts the picture uses 2 D sizes batteries, 1.5 volts ea., connected in series} and connect the positive (+) pole of the battery to the pink wire terminal and the negative (-) pole to the body ground. Caution: More than 5 volts would destroy the diodes.e. Check that there is a spark from the coil cord tip, (the wire that goes to the distributor), in about 1 second. If not, replace the igniter. On - Vehcle inspection of Distributor1. Inspect Distributor cap and Rotora. Check for cracks, carbon tracks, burt or corroded terminals. b. Check the distributor center contact for wear. If a problem is foud, replace the component. 2. Check Pickup CoilUsing an ohmmeter, check each resistance of the two pick-up coils. G pickup coil resistance:G (W) - G (Y) slot = 140-180 ohmsNe pickup coil resistance:Ne (R) - G slot = 140- 180 ohms, does not specify G (Y) or G(W).

How do you change the tail light on a 1990 Toyota Cressida?
ok soooo..... first u take all of the plastic trim off the top of the light. there should be a black plastic piece that covers the top of the light after u open ur trunk. and also the gray plastic piece that goes across the trunk latch should come off. after u got that off, unscrew the two phillips style screws from the top of the light assembly. on the inside of the trunk, peel back the carpet liner. it should be held by plastic pins which come right out. once u get the carpet liner off, on the inside of the trunk, there should be two black plastic clips where the fender is. pinch those clips while sliding the actual tail light out away from the fender like a sliding door. it should come out about a half inch. from there u just pull directly out towards the bumper. it may feel like ur gonna break it but it wont break. just make sure u have a hold of the solid pieces of the tail light. DONT grab any weak plastic or something may break. ur tail light should com out. THERE U GO!!!!! it took me about an hour to actually realize what to do. this should shorten ur time

Engine overheats
When a car or truck overheats idling, in town, on the highway, while towing, etc. it is important to find out the reason to prevent engine damage. First, with the engine cold, make sure the radiator is full of coolant; if it is low, fill it and keep the radiator cap off while the engine idles to insure all air is bled out of the system. Check the coolant level daily; if the coolant goes down without visible leaks, it may be a head gasket starting to leak which will also cause the heater to blow cold air due to the lack of available coolant. If the coolant stays full, but the car continues to overheat, the next step is to replace the thermostat in the engine and flush the cooling system if that has not been done over the last few years.Buy a thermostat at a parts store and a PRESTONE flush kit which has excellent directions on the package. After completing these steps and the vehicle still overheats, have your cooling fan sensor/switch ( if equipped)checked out to insure it is coming on. Water pumps are seldom the cause as they are mechanical and will continue to work until their bearings give out. Finally, the radiator itself is often the problem as it tends to build up corrosion internally which prevents it from transfering engine heat to the coolant. Remove it and have it 're-cored'. One of these steps will solve the problem.
It is also possible that the smaller fan, the air conditioning fan at the front passenger side is not working, it should turn on when idling at lights.
You also want to check your drive belts, slipping drive belts will cause your water pump to run slower. Another question to ask yourself is: Is there excessive noise coming from your valves? A bent valve will cause excessive friction and therefore heat. I would definitely check the other things listed above first though.
How do you change the freeze plugs on a 1995 corolla?
I don't know how to do it myself, but have a look on www.autozone.com
They have detailed breakdowns for doing almost anything to any car.

How do you replace a horn on a '94 corolla?
To replace the horn on a 94 Toyota Corolla, you will need to remove the horn pad from the steering wheel. Once all screws have been loosened, you can lift the pad and replace the inner button, then just put the horn pad back on.
if it's a 5s-fe engine(most of the time it dosent matter what kind of engine) then take a 30 mm socket to the top of spark plug wholes and take those off(there should be two rings when you take that top ring off) then all ya do is take any hoses off the valve cover, pull the valve cover, then take a razor blade to the gasket. once you have the valve cover gasket nice and clean you just put a new one on.
