Other than the obvious leaking hose, radiator, water pump or heater core, it could be internal to the engine. Mine was a leak in the head into one of the cylinders. It puffed white smoke when I first started the engine in the morning but would evaporate before I could check for a sweet smell caused by hot coolant. The engine had to be removed and a weld repair on the head fixed the problem.

it is a large housing from aluminium fitted the front of the engine, opposite end to the gearbox. It is quite slimline so looks like part of the engine. the timing belt also runs around the same area.

To flush a Toyota Previa radiator, first drain the antifreeze in the radiator into a bucket. This is done by turning the valve at the bottom of the radiator. Close the valve and add a radiator flush product purchased at an automotive parts store. Follow the directions on the bottle of flush. First you need to remove the passenger seat. Then look for the cut out in the carpet that will let you have access to bolts to remove the access panel to the plugs. It sounds worse than it really, is the carpet that you have to pull back has sections of velcro to keep it together so look for that before removing any interior panels. If your doing a tune-up this will be easy as compared to the cap and rotor replacement.

It may be a bad sensor or just needs an oil change. If you have done this and it's still flashing, unhook the cables from the battery to reset it. Hopefully this will fix it.

Luckly, I just did this today. Ok You first have to remove the fuse panel which is just above your climate control settings. There will be 4 Phillips head screws just above below the fuse cluster. Remove those 4 screws and pull out the vent panel and audio console.. There will be 2 screws just right of your instrument cluster Remove those 2 screws. If your driver side door is open you should see one screw just below the molding on the extreme left of the instrument cluster. Remove that one screw and then you should be able to pull off the plastic molding to reveal 2 more black Phillips head screws and 2 copperish screw/nuts with a Phillips driver compatibility. Remove those 4 screws and then you can pull out your instrument cluster.

One bit of a warning though.

Do not cut the retracting silver wire just under the cluster. I did this and now i cannot see what i am in when i go to put it into drive or reverse. Stupid me.

A flasher relay can be found at the end of the signal light lever on a steering column. Remove the steering covers and the light flasher will be visible.

try checking main fuse box located in top of dashboard release clip located just above where the ac switch is (or would be if the vehicle doesnt have ac fitted)

First you have to remove the plastic entry trim on the side door floor and on the rear hatch entry bottom. Then you can pop the trim off. It's held with both pop in bolts and clamps around the top. To totally remove the panels you have to unbolt the seat belts at the back. It is not necessary to remove the panels totally to remove the speakers. Once the panel is disconnected from the top and sides the speakers are accessible but will require a short Phillips screwdriver or a ninety degree angled screw driver. There are four screws in each speaker and the wire connection clips in. To replace the speakers you may have to modify this connection but it is easily done. You can use either 5.25 inch or 6.5 inch round speakers. The existing speakers are 5.25 inch. The 5.25 inch fit well but it might be a snug fit for the 6.5 inch. Once the speakers are in then re-clip the brackets and press in the bolts on the panels. If you unbolt the seat belts re-bolt them and then reinstall the plastic base trim on the doors. NOTE: Check the speaker operation before re-installing the panels.

if it is the same year as mine 92 it is right in the cent over radio and heater switches just lift up and you will see them and also arer the breakers

hey man all you have to do is earth out the cat wire and problem solved ,you will have two or one wire comming from the cat , hope this helps

if u take off the egr valve and tap it it on something to knock out the carbon built up inside ,and put it back on, its a free fix,just the labor involved

Under the dash behind the cruise control actuator, or so I have read.

Remove the heatshield (kind of triangle shape w/ 3 12mm bolts, slide it rearward out of the way.

Label each of the 5 wires to ensure correct installation later. Pull out the locking tab of the boot & unlock it from the cap. Then gently pull the wire out of the cap holding the gasket part, not the wire itself to protect it.

Use a 7mm socket & long extension to remove 3 bolts securing the cap and remove it.

Use a scewdriver to remove 2 screws atop of the rotor & pull it straight out. Save the screws for installation of the new rotor.

Install new rotor, cap, & 5 old wires in reverse order. Note that there's an O-ring between distributor & cap to seal out moisture; replace it if damaged. Also if oil is found inside the distributor, it's shaft's O-ring has failed. The whole distributor needs to be remove to replace this shaft's O-ring.

You will need to drive your front wheels up onto a stand to make the water pump accesible. Follow the large hose from the bottom of the radiator which goes to into the thermostat. The thermostat is connected to the water pump. You will have to remove the oil filter housing (3bolts) in order to get the water pump off. (watchout for the hot fluids....drain the radiator first.

I believe the PWR HEAT button is an electronic choke which you use on cold mornings to help get the engine up to running temperature. Turn it off when you are driving in warm weather to low your RPMs and save fuel.

I have one of these on my Japanese imported Toyota Estima with 2.4 Ltr petrol engine.

There is a 15A in the main fuse box and a relay somewhere behind the centre console. If you have a rear cooler as well then there will be another fuse.

If your light is working on the dashboard but the magnetic clutch still doesn't engage then it's not a fuse you need to find but the relays; centre console passenger side, remove three screws in plastic cover and find relays in black rubber covers near heater matrix pipes.

Depends who does it. It could take upto 3 hours of labour and struts start around £65 for gas replacements. Oil filled struts are better but dearer.
