It is almost certainly not twins. They would have been picked up by the ultrasound, and one twin is usually close to normal size.

Babies die in the womb for many different reasons. Sometimes it is because of errors in the genetic code and they never could have developed to a stage where life outside the mother was possible. It is very common for a baby to die early in pregnancy, but it is none-the-less distressing.

Sometimes the baby can simply be younger in age than the dates indicate, but the gap between is probably a little large in this case to explain it. It is possible for errors to be made, so more than one test is a good idea, especially two blood tests a few days apart measuring your hCG levels.

6 weeks 5 days means that your fetus measured the same as what they would expect for someone 6 weeks and 5 days past their last menstrual period. they would expect you to ovulate around day 14 of your cycle, so that means the ultrasound also measured the same as 4 weeks and 5 days past ovulation. with the ultrasound it might not have your period right (you might not have actually had your period 6 weeks and 5 days before the ultrasound), but early ultrasounds are generally right about your ovulation day (so you very likely ovulated 4 weeks and 5 days before the ultrasound). the difference is because not everyone ovulates on day 14. so according to your ultrasound, if you were 6w5d on march 25, your LMP was around feb 7 and you ovulated/conceived around feb 21st. any sex you had between feb 16-22nd is what would have gotten you pregnant.

i went through the same thing about 2 months ago. i was bleeding very light and they had no heart beat but because i was only 5wks they said that is why they could find the heart beat. i went in a week later and found out i was mis carrying. although it might not be happening in your case it is possible! keep up with your doctor and good luck to you!

Not at all. It means that they change together, in the same direction ... when one doubles, the other one that's proportional to it also doubles. Example: If you have only dimes in your pocket, then the amount of dollars you have is proportional to the number of dimes you have. We don't know how many there are, and the numbers are certainly not equal. But we know for sure that if you double the number of dimes, the number of dollars your pocket is worth will also double.

This is an ultrasound they do to see if your bladder is retaining too much water after you urinate.

(In my case anyway) they ask you to drink 500 mL of water, finishing an hour before your exam. You're asked not to urinate until your appointment. First they'll ask you to unbuckle your pants and push them down a little bit (just a little bit, not down past your genitals), they tuck a towel in, smear your lower belly with ultrasound jelly (suprisingly warm!) and they scan your bladder before urination. This is really the only potentially uncomfortable part as, if you really have to go by now, the scanner is being pressed down on your bladder. However this portion of the scan is less than five minutes long, so not to worry.

You're then asked to urinate (in a regular washroom, by yourself). You return to the scan room, and the same procedure happens again with them scanning your bladder area, only this time you will also be asked to turn on both sides as well so they can also get shots of your kidneys. This portion of the procedure takes a little bit longer, but again it's over quite quickly.

Actual scanning time altogether is probably fifteen minutes, certainly no more than twenty. There's no pain from the procedure itself (except perhaps if you have internal soreness, as in your kidneys, that might be aggravated by them pressing down with the probe?) and the embarassment factor is very low as well.

She had taken a pregnancy test that showed that she was pregenant, she went to the doctors and received a positive blood test results. She went back for a listen and a sono and they found nothing. Come to find out, her ovalry had a tumor growth and gave her a false positive result. Hope this might help.
