There are 4 central locking relays on this car. In one of the engine bay fuse boxes, the one whcih contains the multi fuction module. There are six slots above this, 4 of them contain the central locking relays.

if the alarm goes off and the electrics on the key wont stop it - don't panic at the racket - but simply use the key and manually unlock the Vectra - then put key straight into ignition; alarm may stop at this point but if not then take tyhe last step needed to 'cut it' and merely turn on the ignition/start the car with the actual cut key.

pop the bonnet, and as your looking at the engine, look to your right hand side, and theres a black box. unclip the lid, that's your fuse box.

But there are 2 adjacent black boxes. the left hand box lid unclips but will only open about 1 cm before hitting the panel above so can't access the contents. Or is it the right hand box?

Take it back to dealer. Your so thick, you don't deserve to own a car, let alone a pug!!!!

Sounds like the clutch has worn out. How can I test my car clutch to see if it’s damaged / faulty or worn out? If you want to test the clutch in your car, you need to bring your car on a level road where it will not move even when you have your handbrake down. Now make sure you have your handbrake on and switch on your engine. Change to the fourth gear (or fifth if you have) and start releasing the clutch while giving the car more gas ie depressing the gas pedal. If your car engine does not stall or your car moves, your clutch needs replacing! Either the coolant level is low and needs topping up, or more likely that the sensor is faulty.

Experience shows that for ever 10 cars with that showing 9 have a fault with the sensor.

Check the level anyway!

the standard 1.8 vec ls takes 5 litres, so i would assume that the 1.8 life holds the same. hope this helps

Start the answer off. It's probably the idle control valve that needs replacing. It's a silver cylindrical device near that's easily replaced yourself. You can get a new one for about £120 from Vauxhall or a second hand one for about £20-30 from a scrappy.

The gear linkage on top of the gear box on this shape of Corsa suffers from wear very commonly. It seems that the ball & socket joints get water in them, causing the metal ball to rust, and then wear away the plastic socket.

The mechanism has been re-designed with the aim of preventing water getting in the joints.

There are two repair kits available from GM, a small kit for use when 1st and 2nd are hard to select, and a larger kit that is needed if reverse is hard/impossible to select.

If it's the factory fit one, using transponder chips in the ignition keys, then for all practical purposes, you can't.

It means you have a fault with eletronic engine management.

First simply switch off and start again. It may clear. If not it requires mechanical attention.

There are many reasons why a car won't start. The battery may be drained, the cables may be bad, there may not be enough fuel or any fuel getting to the engine, the alternator or start may be going bad.

It's a press-fit onto the lever. Generally it takes so much force to pull/twist it off the lever that the mechanism lower down holding the lever in place will break before you pull/twist hard enough to remove the knob.

To remove it to replace it with a different knob, use a hack-saw, and cut it in half, taking care not to cut the lever or other items.
