On the left side of the dash remove the panel to access the fuse center. On the inside of the panel look for a label for the fuses. Remove the one marked Siren.

I own a 1998 V70 AWD which is similar to the XC70. The XC70 is also all wheel drive requiring the rear cross member and rear differential be lowered in order to lower the gas tank. The fuel level sensor is mounted in the front of the gas tank and cannot be removed until the gas tank is lowered. The fuel level sensor is on the left side and the fuel pump assembly is on the right. This is a job best left to professionals as a vehicle lift and special equipment is required such as a lifting table and post jack to lower the rear end and the gas tank. I am a Volvo Technician and in the process of replacing a fuel pump in a 1999 XC70.

The 2004 Volvo XC70 has a 9 ft. 0.8 in. (108.8 in.) wheel base.

most parts stores have cheap replacement mirror glass. simply remove all traces of your old mirror glass, remove the cover to the adhesive on the back of new mirror glass, and stick in place.

The engine control moduel has detected a fault usually with the Elctronic Throttle system in the vehicle. Other fuel system related faults can also trigger that message.

Put the ignition key into position I, push in and hold the odometer reset button (use your left hand), move the ignition key to position II, when the service light begins to blink,let go of the odometer reset button. Confirm by turning your Volvo off then on again.

The previous description was for resetting the "Service" light.

To reset the check engine light, the car must be plugged into either an OBDII compliant scan tool, or a dealer's scan tool to retrive whatever trouble code has been stored, repair the problem, and then the light can be "reset".

What year model? They are 3 different ones.

Open the rear door, and near the lock there is a plastic grommit with a slot. Stick your key (or any similar shaped opject) in and twist it to the alternate position. simple. :)

Nokian Hakkapeliitta 5 studded snow tires are best snow tires for a 2004 Volvo XC70. But they are expensive, and check your local laws before you buy them. Studded snow tires are illegal in some areas.

215/65-R16 although I've had tire shops try to sell me 225/60-R16 because there's more of a choice.

The front track of the 2004 Volvo XC90 is 5 ft. 4.3 in. (64.3 in.).

The lungs like no one can see them unless you have an ex-ray!!

That car comes with load bars as standard equipment, so you should just grab a set of Yakima RailGrab's and a couple 58" crossbars and you're good to go.

Thule has a setup for you too, but it's WAY more expensive than the Yakima solution.

How safe in comparison to crash testing ?

The XC90 is the only 4x4 SUV that has ever been put through the roll over test.

(Almost as if the Volvo folk thought - we can do that ...)

Along with side impact protection, a stupid amount of airbags and curtains

So all in all, this is a very safe car.

I have an 04 but I don't think many changes were made. You will need a hex driver of some size to remove the panel under the glove compartment on the passenger side. I can't recall how many hex screws there are but it is very simple.

Trouble code P2097 means: Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Rich Bank 1

Everything the regular key does...doors, hatch, ignition. It will not however open the glove box.

The battery is on the passengers side under the hood near the fire wall.
