IF YOU HEAR THE MOTOR SPINNING AND THE GLASS IS NOT GOING UP,YOU PROBABLY NEED TO REPLACED THE DRIVE GEAR. THE DRIVE GEAR IS LOCATED INSIDE THE MOTOR.

there's a cap up the lighter with a engine, take it of and the plug is there

Look for you oil filter, it is right next to it, toward the driver side

You have to be a little more specific. It could be something as simple as the switch or a fuse. The regulator that guides the window could be broken as was mine or an electrical problem. Start with the switch.

I just changed the headlights on my roommate's 2002 Cabrio, but I followed the instructions given for a 2001. What you have to do is: 1. Move the metal wire holding the black cover to the side and remove the black cover. 2. Remove the power cord from the bulb itself and push to the side. 3. You will see a pin holding the headlight in. Squeeze the pin (you want to squeeze closer to the top of the pin, which is the closed end; don't squeeze the open ends because all you will do is get irritated and hurt your fingers), then push it back and down. What this will do is move the pin away and then out from those little metal tabs that its going through. One side will pop out, then the other. When you get it out, the pin should be standing up, with the closed end pointing up. You can then remove the bulb and replace. Popping the pin back in is a heck of a lot easier than getting it out! I was able to remove the cover, but I got totally stumped on the pin. I hope this helps you out, it may be a little confusing but its kind of difficult to describe. Maybe this will at least point you in the right direction!

I would replace the fuel filter. It might be letting just enough fuel by to start the engine, but not let it run very long. When the engine starves itself out (stalls) a little more fuel trickles through the plugged filter so you can restart the engine.

Connect a Freon bottle to the low pressure port on the top of your air conditioning compressor. Release the Freon into the air conditioning system. A recharge kit will make the process simple.

First you need to get a harmonic balancer puller. This pulley is located on the bottom of engine. Remove the tire and plastic so you can see it. Get a socket that fits the bolt I would recommend using a impact gun to get the bolt out. After its out pull the pulley and the sensor is located behind it . Two bolts hold the bugger on , but it's set on a dowel so you may have to fiddle with it to get it off. Hope this helps!

For an automatic, on the top of the transmission. When standing in front of the car with the hood up, the speed sensor will be attached to the top of the transmission with a two-wire connector attached. It will look like this:

It is attached to the transmission by a single T25 Torx screw. Detach the connector, remove the screw and pull the sensor out - you may have to jiggle it a little.

In your owners manual the numbers will tell you what circuit each fuse protects.

Look by the thermostat housing its the one closest to the housing. unplug the wire and use a 13/16 socket to remove. NEVER use teflon tape on electrical components as it could upset the ground to the engine and cause damage tothe circuit or new components, it wont leak.

Open the hood and on the drivers side of the engine where the upper coolant hose for the radiator routes to the engine . there is a plastic flange or housing, in that housing the coolnat temp sensor is located .

There are three small lights on the lower front end fascia of your Cabrio. One the inner is the fog light, the middle one is only a reflector not a light and the outer one which is the turn signal. To get started get a flat-head screwdriver and pry against the right-hand side of the middle reflector and it will pop loose . It is held in place with 2 friction clips. Once you move around with the screwdriver you will work it loose. Remove the reflectorand voila. there is the turn signal totally exposed. You will see 2 more friction clips holding it in. Just push them in and the whole assembly comes out and the rest is self explanatory.

Remove the three Philips screws along the top and the two on the bottom

corners and remove the entire glove box. You can then work on the latch

from the back of the latch and easily open the glove compartment by

gently prying off the corners of the glove box from the locking pins.

Have you operated teh drivers door lock manually with the key?

located on the left side of the engine right behind the distributor and is held in place by a clip it is black and the fan temperature switch is white easily changed just makesure engine is cool as coolant will leak out good luck 2 minute repair

below the air intake..

It is below the throttle body/air intake. You don't have to remove anything to get to it. I made the mistake of looking for it before I checked online to find it. I pulled the intake manifold and everything! Don't do that! All you need is a 19mm open ended wrench.

one is located at the thermostat housing. the other is in the bottom of the radiator.

underneath the dash and to the left of the steering column. The fuses will be exposed and facing you OR they will be behind a removable cover on the underside face of the dash to the left of the steering column. The cover has two indention's on the bottom of it to aid in removing.

There is usually a relay for the flashers and turn signals. It is usually a round metal looking thing in the fuse box. This is usually the norm. I have never worked on this specific vehicle, but they are all simular. Good luck.Brad.
