1. Go to BIOS setup

2. And then change the driver setting

3. Change ACHI to be IDE

4. Then restart your laptop

5. Know you can you can star install Windows XP

32 bit Microsoft Operating Systems only recognize up to 4 GB of RAM (some less than that). Only 64 bit OSes can currently see more than 4 GB.

If you have a capable OS and are still not seeing your full amount of RAM, then check and re-seat the RAM on the motherboard and make sure that you are following the correct seating configuration for your motherboard and bios settings.

I am not aware of any sharing access for individual Excel files (if someone reading this knows how to do this with Windows, please improve the answer). File sharing permissions are for giving access to folders, not individual files. If you are not able to change the sharing permissions on the folder in which you have the Excel file stored, move the file to a folder or drive without sharing permissions.
