i think it is 16 i went and applyed and they said you at least have to be 16 to get a job in Oklahoma but i really don't know

The person above is correct partially. When I started working for Wal-Mart it was 16. The program was called "yellow dot". What this meant was you had to wear a yellow sticker on your name badge to identify you as a minor, and you had to wear that sticker on your badge until you turned 18. This meant you could not operate the bailer or heavy machinery.
Sadly due to lawsuits most stores have decided not to hire minors. A few stores will still hire minors as "cart pushers/stockman)", and as cashiers (yes, you can be a cashier, even if you walmart store sells alchool-----you will just have to get a csm (supervisor over cashiers) to come to the register each time alchool or other products of the sort are being sold.
