Just be there for them. As sad as it may be try to make them laugh once in awhile and don't be afraid to try to be funny. If they are bed-ridden sometimes just sitting there quietly while they fall in and out of sleep is comfort for them. If they aren't bed-ridden then sitting down together and putting a supportive arm around them helps and let them know it's OK to have a good cry. Crying isn't weak at all, but a release of frustration, perhaps anger and is very normal. Crying helps the body relax. This person is very lucky to have someone like yourself. Just be you! Good luck
