Some Israelis are "white", some are not. Some Israelis are true Caucasians, having immigrated directly from the actual Caucasus Mountains of Eurasia. Some Israelis have very darkly pigmented skin, having immigrated from Ethiopia. And then there are pigmentless Israelis who suffer from albinism and who have the palest skin of all. Israel's population is a mosaic of all the world's ethnicities, races, religions, nationalities, lifestyles and philosophies. Like in the United States, immigrants have arrived in Israel from the four corners of the earth and have become citizens of this country. It may not be accurate to say that a majority of Israelis belong to any one particular racial group. Large segments of the population are European, large segments are Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern and a sizable segment is from Central Asia. If these groups meet the definition of "white" then the answer could be a qualified yes. A sizable number of Israelis come from the Indian sub-continent and a lesser number come from East Asia and from Central Africa. The only accurate generalization that can be made about Israelis is that a majority of them are Jewish.

Approximately 700,000 people live in Israel's Negev region, which covers about half of the country's land area. The Negev is home to various cities and towns, as well as Bedouin communities and kibbutzim.

Modern Israel came about around 150 years ago when a handful of Secular Jews with a lot of political connections in Europe got together as Zionists deciding that the Jews spread throughout the world needed one central place they could call home. After much deliberation with the U.N. Offered different options Uganda being the one that received the most consideration but were all ultimately rejected. England then began limiting the permitted amount of Jewish immigration and after the tragic events of WWII had almost eradicated the Jews of Europe a small underground army of Jews began fighting the British and Arab armies till they got independence in 1948 Offering all Jews and Arabs who wished to remain citizenship with full equal rights for all. Many Arabs decided to leave heeding promises from neighboring Arab countries that the Jewish state would be wiped out soon enough. In 1967 acting on misinformation from Russian intelligence Egypt decided to launch a war and got all the neighboring Arab countries to join in and attack Israel. In a miraculous preemptive strike Israel wiped out virtually the entire Air Forces of all the invading armies. After 6 days of intense ground combat taking place throughout then divided Jerusalem being occupied by Jordan along with the west bank. At the same time they were battling Egypt in the south and at the end of the war had conquered Jerusalem the west bank and Gaza.

In 2006 Israel returned Gaza however not to Egypt who it was captured from rather to the newly created Palestinian Authority who would soon be taking over by rival terrorist organization HAMAS.

People from Galilee are called Galileans.

The social classes in Israel today typically include upper class, middle class, and lower class. There is also a significant wealth gap between different sectors of society, including a growing number of individuals living below the poverty line. Additionally, there are disparities in income level and access to resources between Jewish and Arab citizens, as well as between urban and rural communities.

The nation of Israel's population is predominantly Jewish (75.4%). Although there is a minority Christian presence, the number who claim to be 'born again' has not been polled - in 2011 the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics found 2.1% of the population is Christian.

Jews are found all over Israel (within the 1949 borders) and in some places, settlements, in the West Bank. Jews form the overwhelming percentage of the Israeli population south of Jerusalem (even though the population of that area overall is barely 10% of Israel's population). Jews also form the majority of Central Israel (between Jerusalem and Hadera). Jews form around 50% of the population of the Galilee Region. Christians live in specific cities in Israel and the West Bank such as Nazareth and Bethlehem. Christianity is a minority religion and between the combined 12 million (including refugees in camps) population of Israel and Palestine, Christians make up around 200,000-250,000 people.

As of 2021, there are approximately 15 women serving as rabbis in Israel. This number is steadily growing as more women are being ordained and taking on leadership roles in Jewish communities.

There are approximately 200,000 American citizens living in Israel. They are a mix of immigrants, expatriates, and dual citizens.

Most have stopped counting, or stopped publishing the information if they are counting, now that the pandemic is declared over and we are in the post pandemic phase. From the beginning of the epidemic in Mexico in April 2009 until November 2010, there were 4330 cases and 94 deaths in Israel.

According to the Israeli Statistical Abstract, by the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, 2.01 percent of the population of Israel are Christian.
