Can you use wi fi with out belonging to att internet?

Yes, but there are conditions; specifically "Who's WiFi"?

- You cannot use your neighbor's without express permission (even if your neighbor is dumb enough not to use secure encryption). This has already been tested in courts and has been classified as "hacking". You don't want to go there.

- You cannot use any available network you just happen to find (like from using Net Stumbler). Just because a network is open, it does not give you the right to use it.

- You *can* use WiFi at locations that provide it and advertise as such (fast food chains, bookstores, etc).

- You *can* use WiFi in communities that offer it as a public service (Bennington, VT for example)

I'm not a lawyer, so please don't interpret this as legal advice. However, if you find a WiFi hotspot (or work out a deal with your neighbor), then there is certainly no reason why you can't access the 'net without ATT.

Is it possible to use a non-iPhone ATT SIM card with the iPhone 2g-- If so where is the card slot?

No. You have to jailbreak it. You can go on youtube on how to do that. Seach up blackra1n. It takes about 5 seconds. Go to the blackra1n app and then download sn0w. Then your iphone can be used with any carrier. The slot for the iphone is on the top between the lock and headphone jack. Use a small paper clip to open it. Hope this helped. Check out my youtube channel. Search up austinwangg on youtube.

You have a 2 computers in separate rooms someone told you you can link both to internet with and without a router ihave a speedstream 4200 modem dsl boardband how do you do either whats needed?

You'll need a router to hook up more than one computer to the internet and there's a wireless and wired way to do that. With a wireless router you'll hook it up to your modem and it will broadcast a wireless network which you will be able to log onto anywhere in the house. With the other option you will have to run a cable to the computer that isn't located next to the modem. Now assuming that the two computers are towers, they probably won't have a wireless card and won't be able to connect wirelessly unless you go to your local electronics store and buy one. At my house it wasn't a big deal to run the cables through the walls, and we use a Microsoft base station. It works good and requires no set up, all you have to do is plug it in. With wireless it can be a little bit difficult to set up, depending on the router, and they're also more expensive (I've also never purchased the wireless antennae for a computer but would expect it to cost not too far under $100 [you'll only need one]). If you have a laptop this is certainly the way to go, since you'll be able to access the internet anywhere in the house. My suggestion if you go wireless is to have someone you know who's 'computer savy' to help set it up.

What you need,

Wireless; wireless router, (if you your computer doesn't have a wirless card) a wireless antennae.

Wired; a base station, an internet cable running for the basestation to the both computers.

How do you solve an IP address conflict between a home computer and a laptop using a wireless router that is connected to a DSL modem?

This occurs when two or more computers on the same LAN network end up with the same IP address. When this occurs, both computers end up not being able to connect to network. There are a few ways in which this problem can be fixed. If it is Static IP request your ISP for a change of IP.If it is a Dynamic IP you can try resetting your modem by switching ON and OFF the modem or open the command prompt and type "ipconfig /release," which dumps the automatic address it had, and then "ipconfig /renew," which gets a new address. To check for the change in IP you can visit Ip-details.com which gives your public Ip when you visit the site.

How long does a sheriff have to turn in a police report in ca It's been a month since the arrest and the District Att. has yet to even receive the report.?

The DA needs to forcefully remind the Sheriff's Office by failing to forward the offense report they are hindering the prosecution and jeapardizing of the defendant's constitutional right to a 'speedy trial.' Perhaps the Sheriff is still investigating the reported offense. Why don't you call the SO and ask?
