Under the dash on the drive side above the hood opener u have to take the dash apart where the fuse box is to get to it it's a black box can't miss it it as two wires that go in to it

If your transmission has a vaccume shift modulator, the Engine will suck the transmission fluid out & sometimes if the modulator is real BAD U will have smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe.

If this is an automatic, and the car is blowing some white smoke, the diaphragm in the transmission modulator is bad. If this is the case, you will have to replace the whole modulator.

If the alternator is good the car will continue to run, if it dies then you have a bad alternator this is why you would want to unhook the battery cable to check and see if you have a bad alternator

I believe the little metal piece can be reattached by any windshield shop for cheap. You just need the right adhesive so you might be able to buy that yourself.

In the overflow tank as well as the radiator. You should not do this while the engine is HOT!

No. acura is going to down grade into entry-level models. but honda is doing fine. Infiniti lexus audi bmw are killing Acura that's why they will down grade . this is just what i read. i love Acura and honda

Remove the belt from your 1990 Acura Legend alternator. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the alternator. Remove the alternator retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new alternator.

hey i just bought an 89 acura ledgend and every time i would unlock the car the alarm would go off...sooo after looking around on the internet i found that you had to take a certain fuse out...well i couldn't find which one to take out because i had to buy a huge $20 manual...but looking around in my car i saw a little black box that said security right next to the steering column on the left side...anyways it looked like a button and i knew if you took the plug out it would stop the circuit ,thus stop the alarm... so using a Philips screwdriver i took out the panel under the steering column and there were 2 wires that plugged into the "security button" i pulled that plug out and put everything back togethor and the alarm hasn't gone off on me since...hope this helps

A gear inside the transmission turns a gear on the speed sensor. This creats a wave signal which is sent to the speedometer. The speedometer translates the signal and moves the needle in relation to the sent signal from the sensor. The signal is also sent to the ecu.

if you stand on the driver side of the vehicle you should be able to see the master cylinder for the brake system and the fuse box right in front of you.look down in a directiond between the fuse box and the master cylinder for brake you'll see the short dip stick for transmission.make sure you have the vehicle at the operating temperature when checking the level of the fluid and make sure the vehicle is leveled even.

A bad ignition coil can cause your 1987 Acura tachometer to quit working. A bad tachometer cable or ground wire can also cause it to quit working.

Well, after removing the door panel and disconnecting all of the necessary parts(please be careful in doing this, some of the parts will break quite easily), look toward the inside front of the door (near the hinged area) - there's a track located there that extends all the way up to the top of the door and this is probably the reason your window keeps coming off track( this was the case with mine) - There's a bolt that holds the track in place. Loosen it a little to get the window back into the track. Put the window back into the track but make sure that the rubber guide on the upper and lower part of the door remains around the windows edge, re-tighten the bolt and then reconnect the window controls to test it. It should flow up and down as if new. .

WEll it could be different reasons...it could be the starter...or the spark plugs not making contact or the wires to the park plugs...or it can even be the battery not having enough juice to turn the car over.....a car is a hard thing to figure out....there are alot of parts that can do the same thing.....and cause the same problem What does it do when it doesn't start? Nothing happens (no sound) when you try to start the car? Does it sound like the engine wants to start but doesn't? We found the answer out to this question...It was a relay switch deep in the dash area of the car. We experienced the similar problem with an '88 Acura Legend...immediately had the relay switch replaced....no more problems!
