An Audi engine typically stalls because it needs maintenance and repair. Sometimes, it is due to a faulty engine or simply because the car is put in a 'stop' position for too long.

Facing the car the air box is to the left. Undo four clips, remove element, clean out the air box, install new element (read the arrows for the direction of the air flow), reattach clips.

You need to press the 'eject' button in order to do this. You need to make sure your car is on before you can do this.

You have to take off the front end of the engine, as if you were replacing the timing belt and water pump, huge effort for a thermostat.

Try changing the ignition module that is attached to the air filter under the cover partnummber for a 99 1.8t is 4d0905351 Cris/.

This vehicle is ethe logic for the passlock is quipped with a passlock system in which in the cluster 1. turn the ignition to the on position 2. try to start engine( engine wont start or stay running) 3. notice the security lamp should be flashing 4. leave key in the on position until it stops flashing (approx 10 min) 5 turn key to off position 6 turn back on again (DO NOT ATTEMPT TO START) 7 wait for security lamp to stop flashing again 8. repeat steps #5,#6,#7 9.turn ignition off and then back on and this time try to start engine. If everything is in working order you will have just performed the long version of PASSLOCK relearn procedure. PS. Make sure Battery is strong as the vehicle will be sitting with the ignition in the on position for approx 30 minutes

Insert key into lock, twist right, door unlocks.

there is no tranny dipstick on Audi's. the transmission fluid level is checked and serviced like that of a manual transmission. there is a drain and fill plug on the transmission oil pan itself. an excellent source of Audi service information can be found at Blauparts website.

You can buy it in Germany, but I would not bother going there, it's too far away.

The front speakers are pretty easily removed, pry off the speaker cover (it is attached with a really sticky gum-like adhesive in 3 places) and un-screw the speaker with a short Phillips head screwdriver. Re-installation is the reverse.

The rear speakers are a little harder but still do-able. Gently pry off the side cover just above the wood trim. I suggest using a medium sized flathead screwdriver covered with a soft cloth or rag to avoid scratching the wood. You are trying to loosen 3 pressure clips located just behind the wood, which are what holds the trim piece in place. (Note- The speaker grille is part of the trim, it will be irreparable damaged if you try to remove it)

Once the trim is off, unscrew the speaker and remove. Note also that the rear speakers are powered by the sub-woofer, in order to get sound from new speakers you will need to run new wire to the new speakers if you aren't replacing with Audi speakers.

I replaced my Audi delta radio with a Blaupunkt and the harness connected the subwoofer fine but as one of my rears was blown, I went with aftermarket speakers and had to wire both apart from the new head unit.

IN MOST AUDIS, THE FUSE PANEL IS UNDER THE HOOD IN THE FIREWALL AREA NEAR THE STEERING COLUMN. GOOD LUCK

There are magnets found in most electric motors which are throughout your car eg electric window motors. They are also in your alternator. I assume that they are also used in the needles on your dashboard too.

To remove the cluster to get to the bulb, lower your steering wheel and remove the trim piece. Take out two screws and pull out the instrument cluster.

YOu have to go into the trunk.. .there is a panel that you pull out on both sides to get to the light... its compact and hard to maneuver but it can be done with a little effort and skinned knuckles.

There could be any number of reasons you have an amber engine light on. When you need to change your oil is the most common reason. Amber means caution, red, white mean emergency.

The EPC light comes on when there is an issue with the electronic power control or drive by wire. The only way to know what is causing it to come on is to have it connected to a code reader. Many auto part stores will pull the codes for free.

i wouldn't... blinking means its bad, mine came on the other day and i called the dealer to see if it was ok to drive and they told me if its solid drive it in, if its blinking tow it in.

It adjusts amd maintains the position of the wategate on your turbo. This in turn adjusts and maintians boost preassure.

any atuo fluid from accessory shop will do,you need to top up from underneath remove level plug on auto box.

Your 2.0 Audi requires an oil that meets VW502 spec.

Mobil one 0w40

Amsoil AFL 5w40

Castrol European Formula (not sure of the viscosity)

Look on the back of the container for the oils certifications. Make sure it states VW 502.

you need someone to jump start it

The 2.6 engine takes 5 litres.
