Does the US use rocket propelled grenades?
No.
Well... Since "Rocket Propelled Grenade" is merely the English translation of the old Soviet designation for their should-launched, unguided anti-armor rocket. The Latin alphabet transliteration for this series of weapons is "ruchnoy protivotankovy granatomyot". They are not literally a grenade - the correct translation should actually be "anti-armor rocket", which accurately describes what the weapon is.
While the US does not use any of the Russian-designed RPG-series, it does use a whole variety of equivalent weapons; excellent examples are the AT-4 and the SMAW.
What did Barnes Wallis invent?
Barnes Wallis did not design any aircraft, he was an inventor and engineer. His geodesic method of construction was used on some British aircraft of WWII, notably the Vickers Wellington bomber. This construction was also used on the successful British airship, the R100. He is of course famous for the invention of the bouncing bomb, used in the Dambuster raids, as well as the design of the British earthquake bombs (Tallboy and Grand Slam).
Wallis also worked on the concept of the swing wing, ultimately used on the F-111 bomber and other aeroplanes. He also worked on super-fast torpedoes.
Yes he did The Wellington used a unique geodetic construction designed by the famous Barnes Wallis for airships and used to to build the Vickers Wellesley bomber
What does 2 oz of chicken look like if you were using your hand for measuring?
That depends on how big your hand is!! 3 oz of chicken or meat looks like a deck of cards, whereas 3 oz of fish looks like a checkbook (and I understand that 1 oz of cheese is about a 1 inch cube) so there you have it, approximations. 2 oz of chicken would fill my palm, but I'm a 5'3 petite woman, it would look tiny in my husband's palm (he's 6'4)...
hey it sounds very familiar and i think i know this game yeah srsly some1 nid to tell the title of this game....its very old school but kinda miss this game
What type of bomb was used on Libya?
No one single type of bomb. Mixture of anti-personel bombs such as CBUs, and guided bombs to destroy tanks or bunkers.
A smart bomb is a explosive thing that has a navigation guidance system, such as a built-in GPS, that allows it to chase down the enemy's butt by itself without a suicidal pilot.
Can you buy bug bombs in Ireland?
I advise against it, foggers are expensive and usually don't solve the problem because concentration is not enough to get 100% and there is no residual killing effect.
What made German hand grenades more effective than the British ones?
The German hand grenades were launched off a stick, giving them slightly longer range than thrown British or American grenades.
At the moment, the Acting Director of the agency is B. Todd Jones.
What model fuse is assembled to the M57 impact fragmentation hand grenade?
Electrical impact fuze M217
Is there a grenade launcher that can shoot many grenades?
Hawk MM1 seen in Dogs of War 12 shot 40 mm
There are the Automatic Grenade Launcher, such as the Mk. 19, GMG, AGS-17, and others. As far as man portable grenade launchers go, there is the South African Milkor MGL, which is a six shot rotary grenade launcher, which is probably most infamous in American cinema for its appearance in Terminator 2: Judgement Day as a tear gas canister delivery system.
How many bombs would it take to blow up the Empire State Building?
One.
I mean like the charges that they use in 'Inception'
Can a grenade detonate plastic explosives if so how?
Detonation of plastique requires an explosion with high brisance, which means a very high propagation rate (burning rate in meters per second). A grenade would probably not have the required intensity. Even if it did, the disruption of the plastic explosive by the casing of the grenade would likely prevent it from absorbing enough energy, quickly enough, to disrupt its molecular structure and cause an explosion. It is not impossible, but rather improbable at best.
A grenade detonator, on the other hand, is a different matter. It might well do the job if separated from the grenade and inserted in the plastique.
What type of explosives did the Bali bombers use?
Of the three devices, all were apparently using a combination of potassium chlorate, aluminum powder, and sulfur. In the car bomb, a TNT booster was employed. The car devices were apparently connected with 150m of deta-cord. Rumours that the bombers used C4 or Semtex (C3) circulated at first, due to the perceived high-speed propagation of the overpressurization radius, but later investigation may have showed instead that the rather huge amount of explosive in the car bomb may have created a thermobaric effect (rare in slower, unsophisitcated explosives such as these). I'm also guessing that spectrographc analysis of what turned out to be deta-cord raised flags for C3/Semtex, as the core of deta-cord is made of a compound present in C3/Semtex. However, these ideas have been debunked, and the explosive at this time is thought to be as described above.
What did the anzacs use to make grenades?
I could not locate an definitive answer for you on this matter. I doubt they used grenades.
They actually used the tin cans from their 'bully beef' meals, and filled them with shrapnel, gunpowder and a long fuse. They would throw them to enemy trenches as the fuse almost hit the gunpowder and the shrapnel biits would explode out. This clearly shows their resourcefulness.
How many jager bombs does it take to get drunk?
Depends on your body weight, your natural resistance to alcohol and your own preferences to alcohol. Ex. There are some people who get drunk after having 1 or 2 bottles of beer, but can shot tequila all night long.
Magnesium.(:
Is there a use for napalm agents in controlling river and lake algae?
Absolutely not!
Napalm is a sticky "jellied gasoline" incendiary bomb material, that does not dissolve in water. It floats on water, burns, and any that washed up on the shore would stick to vegetation and buildings igniting them!! It is very unlikely to have any effect on the algae which live in the water out of reach of the heat of the fire above the water.
could be another name for mustard gas bombs. if not try the urban dictionary it has a funny definition for it.
Has there ever been a bomb explosion on an airplane?
Yes there has ! One of the most famous was the bringing down of Pan-Am flight 103 over Lockerbie. See related link for the Wikipedia entry.
