Check low coolant sensor. Aslo, I have found that the sensor requires the "slipperiness" of a proper coolant/water mix...too much water and the sensor will stick. ==New answer headline== Also make sure you are using the right coolant. On my 97, the light will only go off if i use Dex-cool. anything else and it will stay on.

if it is the problem of not lighting up or beeing dim i found a video on you tube wich walked me through it on the back of the panel when you remove it is a set of 4 resistors that need to be removed (wich isn't hard since if it is completely not lighting up there will be one or more missing and if it is dim they will be loose and fall off if you run your finger over them ) and new ones soldered back on you can do this yourself like i did (about 10 dollars for soldering gun kit and new resistors ) or send it off int he mail for a refurbished one or find a shop to do it either of the later 2 will cost around 80-160 dollars

There are a total of 3 fuse boxes in a 1995 Regal. Two are located under the hood on either side of the engine compartment and another is located inside the vehicle in the glove box.

Under your hood there should be a diagram. a sticker on top of the radiator...in that area. If not you could probubly google "Belt diagram for 1998 buick regal" image search. make sure you get the right diagram for you motor.

It should be in the trunk...pull the mat up right behind rear seats and you should see an access with about 7 or 8 bolts.

open the pasenger door. At the end of the dash there is a comparment which is held on by clips. It has a finger hole in it. Pull the compartment door off. Inside there is a low tire reset button. Fill the tires to the proper psi turn the key to the on position and push and hold the reset button till the low tire lite on the dash blinks. Turn the key off and then back on. The lite should go out. The reset button is red.

I tried the above awnser and it works but is missing a step. Turn ignition in on postiion but do not start vehicle. then push the red reset button in and hold for 10 seconds and release button. The tire light on dashboard will flash a couple times and go off. Then turn ignition back and then start vehicle.

Group size 78, but my 1996 Regal had a group size 75 in it when I got it 2 years ago and it has been fine. Size 75 was the standard battery for 1995 but was increased to size 78 for 1996. Many of the newer size 75's are actually stronger than the old 78's, so you can probably get away with a 75 which is a little smaller and lighter.

Disconnect the 1982 Regal alternator. Loosen the alternator bolts and slide to release belt tension. Put new belt on ( you may have to remove other belts to gain access) and pull the alternator sideways to put medium tension on the belt while tightening the bolts. Reconnect the battery.

It's located under neither the passenger door on the drivers side. it is about a foot in underneth the vehicle.

Each door contains 2 speakers inside of a plastic "speaker pod." The larger "woofer" is a 5 1/4" speaker, and the "tweeter" mounted above the woofer measures 1 1/4" in diameter.

Check the radiator fans to see that they spin freely and they are not stuck. Assuming this and the electrical wiring is good, there is a thermal switch or sensor and a relay that turns on the radiator fan motors.

A quick check to of the fan motors can be performed by starting the car and engaging the air conditioning. This should turn on the fans.

If not, the relay itself is likely bad. These take a beating for use and heavy current demand. The relay is probably in the fuse box.

If the fans run, then a coolant sensor or switch or its wiring could be at fault.

I have not worked on a 96 Regal but GM vehicles are similar across years in how the cooling system is loop monitored and controlled and one of the loops is not dependent upon the car's computer to operate. The 'dumb' loop has sensors or switches to failsafe in high temperatures, but they all depend on the relay to energize the fans.

Focus your suspicion on this loop.
