Buick Regal LS 3.8 liter engine?
Where is the engine temperature sensor located on 1994 buick regal?
You don't mention the engine size, but on the 3.1L V6, there are two temp sensors. One operates the guage on the dash, the other is the temp signal for the ECU to help control the air/fuel ratio. To find them, let me try to navigate you through the engine compartment of a 3.1 found in a 1994 Corsica, which should be exactly the same. If you are confident enough to replace the temp sensors, I will assume that you know most major items on the engine. The v6 sits "sideways" under the hood, so there will be a front head and a rear head. The guage sensor is located on the front head, near the transmission. If you locate the upper radiator hose coming from the drivers side of the radiotor and follow it to the thermostat housing on the rear of the engine, you should find it just to the left of the housing, it looks to be made of brass, and I believe there is a single wire coming out of it. The ECU sensor is quite a bit harder to find. It sits on the the very corner of the "rear" head, closest to the transmission side, also with a single wire, maybe even green. It is pretty hard to get to without taking the EGR assembly, and thottle body out. This is all pretty vauge, I know, but it's the best I can do since I havn't been in a 3.1 for a couple years. All this info is under the assumption that it is a 3.1, and its similar to a Corsica. If the ECU sensor needs replacing, it most likely is giving a code and Check Engine light. If the guage sensor needs replacing, then the guage probably is not functioning properly.

How do you ride big rims on cars?
Well, depending on your current desires, big rims could be "ride on" by buying a vehicle that's blue book value is less than $1000. In addition to that, it must have a spray-painted paint job. Buy enormous rims that make the vehicle ride extremely stiff, and most importantly, do not adjust the suspension in any way to alter this "wagon-style" handling. If you do happen to buy an expensive vehicle, you can easily decrease it's value by installing large size rims, preferably spinners, that transform your vehicle from from a luxurious ride, into a ghetto fabulous piece of work. Make sure you spend all of your money on these rims, as well. Do not, however, pay child support or any other bills that may put food on your own table. If you keep one phrase in your head when your considering purchasing something of such sentimental value, you will never have to worry about "riding big rims" on your vehicle. "Are the rims big, do it ride good?", in the most proper English possible.

Where is the electronic control module located in a 1992 buick regal?
If your looking the the "electronic spark control module"..... it's the device that's behind the coils. It's size is about 4 inches tall, and about 8 inches wide. You'll see 3 different sets of wire connectors that goes to the plug in on either side of that module. Carefully raise the tabs open enough to slide the plugs out. You got 2 plugs on the left side, and 1 on the right. They are made differently, and can't be mixed up when putting them back in overall. You'll see 2 bolts... one on either side that holds this assembly in place, and 1 more bolt on the bottom, close to the middle of the width... that all need to come out. Remove the spark plug wires first...if they are the originals, they will be numbered, if not, put tape on them and number them. Get that out of the way first, then ... unplug and move out of the way the 3 sets of wires that plug in the module, and remove the 3 bolts as described before. If your not sure sure what this device looks like, you can look at it at the parts store..if not actually buy it.... and you will see the tabs of where these 3 bolts goes into along with the 3 plugs of wire sets...be a guide to you.
If your talking about the (E. C.M.) "brain box"... it should be located on the passenger side, on what they call the "kick panel". It's the side panel right next to the right foot as a person sits down (passenger). Very important though!!!!............ make sure ALL numbers are the same thing reading on the label of this box!!! If you get your part through a salvage yard...ALL numbers that's on the label has to match up to your old box!!! If you don't, it won't work, and could possibly mess up your system! If your buying new, make sure that dealership knows exactly what vehicle numbers you have all the way around!................. Carefully remove it by prying it off. and that is a probable location, if not under neath the glove box area. Some people kind of get those two wordings mixed up at times. Be sure to disconnect the battery cable (positive) at first though!...then proceed to unplug either of these two device's...which ever your working on. All is done...then reconnect your batter cable, and should start right up, and run for sure.
The GS has a two-speed fuel pump, which is controlled by the pcm through 2 relays. During cranking, full power is supplied to the fuel pump through one of the relays. After start, when the ignition switch is relaxed into the "run" position, the pcm then delivers fuel pump power through the other relay. That relay sends the power through a large resistor that looks like a ceramic horseshoe that is mounted on the frame under the battery at the right front of the vehicle. You will find the connector behind the right headlight assembly. It has 2 wires, and is fairly easy to find. You can ohm it out from there. Most likely that is your problem. The GM replacement comes with a relocation kit, so it can be mounted above the engine on the firewall in a friendlier environment. If you choose to relocate it, you really don't need to remove the old one- it's kind of in a tight place, and not real easy to find.
How do you replace the alternator on a 1996 Buick Regal?
Best to get a shop manual for this operation, if you have not replaced it before. Usually there is an "Idler Pulley" on many late model cars that is "spring loaded". You "Bias" this pulley (usually with a socket wrench) so that the serpentine belt has enough slack in it so you can remove it. Then you disconnect the Positive Battery cable, disconnect the "Field Wire" harness and Positive battery lead from the alternator, unbolt and remove the alternator. Reverse procedure to install new alternator. TommyTrouble

Location of the starter on a 1996 buick regal?
Look at the lower rear end of the engine - follow + battery cable
Well, the Fuel Pump is usually in the fuel tank on a "Hanger" assembly along with the fuel gauge sending unit (the sending unit is either a Reostat who's moveable arm is on a float that floats in the gasoline). You can access this assembly from the top of the fuel tank. If there is a hole in the bottom of the middle of your trunk you may be able to get at it there, but I doubt it. Dropping the tank is a hassle, make sure the tank is almost empty if possible and the hoses connected to the top of the tank can be a bear to get disconnected. Make sure to check all of your wire connections (especially) the ground wire near the fuel tank, and the relay with a volt/ohm meter before condemning the fuel pump.

How do you replace thermostat located on a 1993 Buick Regal?
Should be located at the engine end of the upper radiator hose housing. Drain about 1 gallon of coolant Remove housing Make note how thermostat is installed Clean surfaces well Replace thermostat and gasket Re-fill radiator Start engine and check for leaks Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater on Check coolant level
Check your engine codes. If you have a "check engine soon" light on, then there will be a code. Use your manuel or go to (well, if you can) an auto parts store. They can check it for you, usually at no charge. This is easy if you know how to do it. But, it's hard if you don't. I had the same problem on my Buick and it was the fuel pump relay. But, check the code. You could try bypassing the relay to see if it keeps running, but don't leave it that way!!!! That relay is in there for a reason.
How do you replace the belt idler pulley aka tensioner for the supercharger on a 1998 Buick Regal?
It's pretty straight forward. You will need a 1/2 inch rachet, an 18mm 6 point socket and a cheater bar about 18" to 24" long.
The key to the operation is to know that the bolt is reverse threaded. It loosens by turning to the right (clockwise) and tightens by turning it to the left (counter clockwise). Set the direction of the turn on the rachet. Slip on socket and set it on the bolt. Then slip on the cheater bar over the rachet handle and have at it.
