Looking from the front down on the right hand side you have to remove the air filter box to access it. There is a hose that goes into a metal housing that splits the water flow in 2 directions. Remove the 2 bolts that hold the thermostat in the housing and pull back on the hose. Make sure to match your old one with the new one before you install it.

You have to take off the plastic intake cover there are a few screws holding it on. This will expose the front 4 plugs. To get at the rear 4 you will need to remove the spark plug coil packs, there are 4 bolds on this assembly I believe, then you can get at the back 4 plugs. Some of these may also need to be accessed from the bottom of the car, if you have big hands.
if the starter is spinning but not engaging then the bendix (starter teeth) is not moving out to grab the flywheel teeth or the flywheel has some broken teeth. The starter needs to be removed to see what the issue is.
