I need to know how to place it,and where is it located at on the car

If your car blows A LOT of white smoke out the tailpipe and it smells sweet, your coolant is probably seeping into the motor through a leak in the head gasket. Check the inside of your oil cap for whitish sludge - this indicates coolant in the oil and usually verifies a head gasket leak.

Typically, it's the thermostat relay...if you take your console apart, and remove the screws holding the heater display, it'll come right out. On the back is a black (or blue) relay. It often rattles loose and loses connectivity or corrodes. If this relay is stuck open (may need to be replaced) it'll cause the heat to blow constantly without responding to the buttons being pressed.

replace heater core and or themostat Coolant level may be low not allowing hot coolant to circulate properly, check coolant level.

water pump bad if u over heat with no heat

or air in system remove cap or get it re filled

Assuming that the vehicle is not losing coolant, start with a radiator cap, pressure could be escaping through the cap. If the car has electric fans, verify that they come on when the vehicle reaches operating temperature. Also a faulty water pump could be a culprit.

Its your Heater core if it smells like a syrupy sweet smell if not then its your thermostat

easy way is to find where the water is go through the fire wall into the car, take them off and flush with a garden hose, but if badly blocked, you may end u taking the hole dash out. if you have aircon the heater matrix is behind the radio the air con matrix is behind the glovebox long job.

Probably - your head gasket is blown. Antifreeze will be coming out of the tail (exhaust) pipe.

The first thing that you need to check will be the coolant level..................

I have a manual, but it doesn't answer the question either.

Sometimes a sticky thermostat can cause that. sometimes it's just a loose connection in the gauge circuitry.

Blower motor working? Check coolant level

System airbound?

Bad thermostat?

Control cable not adjusted or working properly?

Selector switch not working?

Go to either a bookstore or a parts house and buy a Haynes Manual and it will give you the full details with pictures. jd

First check the fuses then check your blower fan then check the blend door and blend door actuator and then the control panel

Possible leak in the water recirculating system ... or ... the engine thermostat is now working correctly and needs replacement,.

turn on the car let it run for about 10 min. then pour some anti-freeze in. turn on the heat keep it on for about 5 min. and it should be blowing hot air.

First check the water level. If the water level is low or very low, you may have air in the radiator. If you have a small leak, you will have enough water to cool the engine but not enough to heat the heater core. Adding water to the radiator may not be enough. Air in the heater core equals no hot air in the cabin. This problem is so bad in some engine configurations that some cars go as far as to actually have a 'bleeder' at the front of the engine, by the upper radiator hose/thermostat housing (Dodge, BMW, etc.). The heat selector lever/ switch in the cabin may be defective (electrical) and may not open the hot water valve enough, or even be disconnected (mechanical). Some (Ford and foreign cars) use vacuum to operate the valve and those lines may be cracked, worn, pinched or just leaking. You could also have a clogged heater core. These are 3 possible items you could start with, in that order. The thermostat could be at fault, but this is a give away. If the thermostat is stuck open or missing and you drive the car for a distance, the engine will take a while to warm up then overheat, and the cabin heat will follow the engine temperature. If the engine overheats, you need to take care of that motor more than worry about the heat in the cabin. As you said, you're not asking what to do with your overheating car. You would have taken care of that motor by now and taken care of your heater problem with it.

It's behind the glove box according to my Chilton manual. I'm not sure if the dash has to be removed, but the condenser does if you have AC. So, the AC has to be discharged first. The dealer estimates 4 hours labor to replace the blower motor.

Sure! It's only a slight discomfort for the driver and passengers. If you can live without it, it's only a creature comfort.
