It was originally founded by a Hindu who didn't agree with the way lower caste Hindus were treated, and it's practices and beliefs are very similar to those of Hinduism. Turning to Buddhism means a Hindu who previously was treated atrociously by members of their own religion and society can escape the discrimination they have been subjected to all their lives without changing their beliefs or lifestyle too much.

"Brahmin" is the highest caste in India. There are mainly four castes with number of sub-divisions. Following is the caste-ranks:

1. Brahmin. - Highest.

2. Kshatriya.

3. Marchent (Vaishya).

4. Untouchables (Kshudra) Lowest.

no mahawar is no low caste it's middle we can not say low or high, Their is two types of Mahawar 1 is Mahawar Vaishya scattered throught India particlarly in Mathura (UP), Alwar (Rajasthan) Rewari (Haryana) Jaipur and Mandi Govind garh Punjab and so many places throught in India enjoys highest reputation in business , commerce and service and is a forward caste having subcastes named as Mahour Vaishya, Mathur Vaishya, Mahuri Vaishya, Mhod Baniks (Of Gujrat)

Second is Mahawar Kolis particularly settled in Kota Rajasthan, Agra( UP ) and other places they are not included in vaishya and a artisan community comes under SC/ST Community status in Uttar Pradesh and MadhyaPradesh .

There is a distinct difference in Social systems and social status and should be differentiated by Mahawar Vaishya and another is as Mahawar Kolis

"Ghiyasuddin,the elder brother of Muhammad Ghori died in 1203 and the latter acquired an independent status as a ruler.He assumed the tittle of Muizuddin.The last two years of his reign were full of troubles and misfortunates.He suffered a humiliating defeay in 1205 at the hands of the shah of Khwarizm.soon afterwards,he heard the news of a revolt by khokhars in central punjab.Hardpressed,Aibek appealed to Muhammad Ghori for help.The latter came to Punjab, crushed the revolt and helped Aibek in restorin law and order.On his return journey to Ghazni, he was encamped at Dhamyak (distrct jhelum) on the Indus when a party of the Khokhar dare-devils stealthily entered his tent and put him to death on March 15,1206.

Gauri was Killed by Khokhars in Punjab any text book of history of 11-12th class (say NCERT/CBSE) mentions that.

Birth definitely determines who you are and your caste. However sometimes your actions and behaviour can also sometimes determine your caste. For example valmiki was a common thief but after repenting and rigirous meditation he became a great rishi and lived his life as a brahmin would. Also Karna from Mahabharat was thought to be sudputra (son of fisherman) however due to the fact he excelled in archery he was considered a great warrior (ksthriya).

Also, it is worth to point out that a brahmin (from birth) is not brahmin if he does not the way of life and principles of a brahmin i.e if he does not wear a janoi (holy string). A kshtriya (from birth) is not a kshtriya if he does not stand up for his religion and beliefs and fight for it.

No. KOHLI belongs to khatri caste or the business caste . Khatri caste is a business caste among Punjabis. Most of khatri people have shops and are in business . However, "KOLI" caste is a schedule caste among Punjabis.

if you are a female, marry into one. The most important way is to acquire knowledge about your religion and practice it properly. After gaining wisdom you can become a full devotee and that way u will move into the brahmin way of life.

Kshatriya

Nadars are the most Dominant Caste in Tamilnadu, they have a Rich and Prominent Heritage of the Past and in the Present, they rule almost all the Business and Educational Empires of Tamilnadu, They also have a Bank of their own, first one to be started Exclusively for an community(Tamilnadu Merchantile Bank).

When they were originally built they were a center of military and economic activity with fortifications that were able to withstand siege from aggressors. they gave the local farmers and business people that were part of the economic fabric of the area a place to go when military aggressors were in their area. In India castes are divided into 4 major groups on the basis of occupation from ancient days. Namely Brahmans, 'Kshaitriyas', 'Vaishayas' & 'Sudras'. There various factors for decline of castism in India as few of them are:

i) Many great leaders like 'Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Jotiba Phule & Periyar Ramaswami Naicker worked to establish a society in which caste inequalities were absent.

ii) Now in Urban areas it does not matter with whom you are walking with or who is the person sitting next to you.

iii) The constitution of India prohibited any caste or creed based discrimination & laid the foundations of policies to reverse the injustice of caste system.

iv) Education bring major change in mind setup and approach of Indian people.
