Can you use mascarpone cheese instead of ricotta?

I would say no. Mascarpone is sweet and creamy whereas ricotta is drier and bland. I would recommend you use a cream cheese (like Philadelphia) instead.

You can use 8oz of Cream Cheese, 1/4 cup of Heavy whipping cream and 2 1/2 tbsp of Sour Cream and whip it together... This is VERY similar...! Just don't substitute anything in this mixture, and you should be set!

Ricotta cheese is similar to cottage cheese. They can be substituted. It is also easy to make ricotta; whole milk, heavy cream, salt and white vinegar. dairy curdles.

Mascarpone is similar to cream cheese just sweeter. It is used in desserts, where as the cream cheese usage would require more sugar.

What is the French name for cheese chef?

Dear Heaven, what a question. There are between 350 and 400 different cheeses produced in France, so the answer is 'every sort'. Hard, crumbly cheeses like Wensleydale or Lancashire are not common, though still available and, presumably, enjoyed. There are many soft cheeses (Camembert, Brie, etc.) and many semi-soft; hundreds of blues, and cheeses made of goat's and ewe's milk. The variety is endless and fascinating. In a formal meal, incidentally, cheese is eaten before dessert, while the red wine is still on the table, usually with a little dressed salad to follow the main course and clease the palate before the cheese board is brought out.

Why did Jefferson dislike the national bank?

Granting Congress any power not explicitly granted by the Constitution will remove all limits on its power other than what Congress itself believes to be the good of the nation.

Jefferson was a strict constructionist. He believed that the congress could exercise no power not specifically and explicitly mentioned in the constitution. Since the constitution nowhere mentions a bank he believed any law establishing a bank to be unconstitutional.

Michael Montagne

As Secretary of State in Washington's administration Jefferson could not "veto" the National Bank. He argued against it, and debated Alexander Hamilton about its constitutionality, but he was in no position to veto anything. He was, as stated a strict constitutionalist, but later during his own administration he will be forced to recant this strict position when he must make the decision to buy the Louisiana Territory.

Do many people like cheese?

More than you might think... Finally, people are becoming better informed about nutrition and the deleterious effects of dairy products, cheese and other products made from cow's milk. There are some important facts about cheese and milk. Cow's milk is best eaten alone or left out of a human diet completely. Milk is the natural food of the mammalian young, each species producing milk peculiarly and precisely adapted to the needs of its young; that's why cow's milk is really only suitable for a calf, seal's milk for a seal pup, etc. Cheese is just another highly concentrated form of milk. The proportion of fats, proteins and hormones in milk is ideal only for the mammal that it was intended to nourish. It is a basic rule of nature that the young take milk alone, not in combination with other foods until weaning occurs. Milk does not digest in the stomach, but in the duodenum, hence in the presence of milk the stomach does not respond with its proper digestive secretions. Cheese is a highly concentrated form of food that is quite unnatural to produce or consume; it was discovered by accident and is a byproduct of fermentation. Milk may be homogenized or pasteurized, but the same hormones, fats, proteins and antibiotics in cow's milk that make a calf grow from 70 pounds to more than 140 pounds in 4-10 weeks have not been removed. In cheese made from cow's milk, the problem is exacerbated. The American diet has been increasingly supplemented and supplanted by cheese made from cow's milk. Almost no Asians or Africans consume any dairy products at all. Unfortunately, most cheeses made from cow's milk are at least 70% fat. Human milk is only 3-5% fat. Cow milk is 3.2% protein; human milk is 1.1% protein. It is no wonder that children who drink milk and eat cheese made from cow's milk are becoming obese. The simple fact is that milk and cheese have become biological, chemical and bacterial cocktails that are unsuitable for human consumption. Lactose (milk sugar) intolerance, by group, is as follows: Caucasians - 15%, Hispanics - 50%, Blacks - 70%, Asians - 80%. About 75% of the world's population is lactose intolerant. Osteoporosis is more prevalent in countries that consume more dairy products. The truth is finally getting out.
