NO. In late 1999 Chevy redesigned The ENGINES and TRANSMISSIONS.

Normal operating temp 87' 350 engine?

That should be controlled by the thermostat. If you have a 180 Degree thermostat the engine should operate right near 180 degrees. If it's a 195... you get the idea.

If the engine is running too warm, check the coolant level, thermostat, radiator and water pump... pretty much in that order.

What to do if your Key is stuck in the ignition of 94 Chevy suburban in the on position but can not turn off to take key out?

In past experience I either took the shifter out of park put it in drive, then firmly put it back in park then try and turn off and remove key. The other is possibly your ignition tumbler is loose like our 1998 in that case you have to be gentle and try to slide the key while giving it a little jingle. I'm not kidding, we really have to do that! Good Luck!

Where is egr solenoid on 3800 SERIES II?

The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) solenoid on a 3800 Series II engine is typically located near the front of the engine, mounted on or near the intake manifold. It is connected to the EGR valve and is usually positioned on the driver's side. To access it, you may need to remove some components for better visibility, depending on the specific vehicle model. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for precise location and removal instructions.

Any help with the ignition key getting stuck on an '97 Blazer Cannot remove key when vehicle is turned off?

i had the same problem with my 97, ended up being the negative battery cable was loose. tightened it up and it worked fine afterwards

Answer yes it did work removing the cap and using screwdriver what i did was extened the legs on the cay reenserting cap so the button stays in and i can now freely remove the keySame thing happens to my 97 I fould out there is a "plunger" as part if the ignition. Under the steering wheel there is a small removable cap that you can take off and put a small screw driverf up into and press the plunger in and it will release the key. I think there is some electrical connection between the shift lever and the ignition. Mine has a floor shifter I am not shure if it is the same for a steering col set up good luck hope this helps

DW

AnswerI also have the same problem with my 97 Blazer with floor shift. I found the plug and inserted the small screwdriver and my key comes right out :-). Thanks...Now I just have to firgue out how to fix it so I do not have to do this all the time.

ANSWER

Small hose clamp around bottom of the plunger housing just under the plunger. Adjust as necessary. Key will come out no problem. Fixed my 97 Jimmy this way. Found the info on a Pontiac Grand Am site. I believe this problem really stems from the switch on the shifter though. I am now unable to get my key to turn away from the run position. Have to remove fuses to shut down vehicle.

If a 1999 voyager smokes when sitting in traffic and has started leaking oil what could be the problem?

Those are two different problems...

If it's smoking in traffic, it could be from many things...

If the smoke is coming from under the hood, you might have an oil leak that is dripping onto the exhaust.

If it's smoking from the tailpipe, odds are, your rings / compression is gone and the oil is blowing by the rings and getting burned.
