That truck came factory with a 700R4 transmission. And that has overdrive in it already.

In an automatic version it will either be a TH350 or TH400. Both will bolt to the engine, the trans cross member may be different though. Some of the older vehicles had additional holes in the frame for moving the cross member for the different length transmissions.

there should be a permanent live feed to the stereo to maintain its memory, it has either failed or has been fitted incorrectly. there should also be a switched live, which there obviously is or it wouldn't work at all, memory live wires are usually coloured red or orange and should be permanently live and fused with a 3 amp fuse

You can if the year of the 454 is between the years of 1988 to 1995

If it's a 1/2 ton it will be a 4L60E. 3/4 ton will have a 4L80E.

The timing belt has to be removed to access the water pump. Once the pump is replaced the timing belt has to be replaced and set.

I'm Pretty sure the Z28 has to have 58lbs of pressure.That could be causing your problem.

Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1994 Chevy Cheyenne wiper motor. Remove the traveling arm linkage. Remove the wiper motor retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new wiper motor.

The 90's Chevy half-ton pickups had a tow rating of 5500 lbs regardless of the engine size. I don't believe that Chevrolet ever put a diesel in a half-ton pickup. It would have had to have been custom installed. The 6.5L Diesel only had a tow rating of about 6000 lbs in the 2500 and 3500 pickups. The 6.5L Diesel was nothing special.

Also...If this doesn't work, and or you have replaced virtually every component on the motor (O2 Sensors, Coil Packs ect) IT IS THE WUSSY GROUND WIRE COMING FROM THE MOTOR TO THE FRAME OF THE CAR!!! This is what plagued My 02 Rio for the last year+ and when I took off the wire, it was all crunchy and SUPER under-rated for its size...it should be at least a 6 gauge wire instead of the factory installed 10 gauge. Go to hardware store and get yourself 1.5 ft, with crimp on COPPER ends, make your own and reinstall. After this super easy, and stupid fix...this car is now running better, starting easier, more power (like kia's have power to begin with)...and it cost me about $7 with the wire and connectors to fix. The ECU upgrade doesn't work I've heard...and people have left their kia's at dealerships for months at a time to no avail. I truly believe this simple wire is the root of most all stalling and drivability issues and it sad to see that in all other sites no one has tried this yet. so GOOD LUCK!

It located as you are looking at the engine to the left of the tbi on a mounting bracket on top of the bracket it has a four wire connector connecting to the module

There are pages and pages and items that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked for codes with a scan tool. After repair light can be shut off with scan tool.

Locate where the heater hoses go through the firewall. The evaporator is usually located close to there. Look nearby for a rubber hose or it even might just look like a rubber plug in the firewall.

blown crankshaft oil seals or water in fuel/oil or CDI faulty or low battery acting like a load on the electrical system.

Your thermostat is stuck closed. you will need to replace it. The thermostat controls the circulation through the radiator - when the engine heats up the thermostat is meant to switch circulation from just-engine to engine+radiator. Sounds like this isn't happening.

Timing for 1990 1500 with 4.3

Need to check the 4x4 fuse in the fuse box with a test light first.

Then lay down under the front of the truck and look at the front Differential

housing, left side of the middle. You will see wires going to the 4x4 Actuator.

Take test light and check those connectors, one of them should be hot when

shifter is in 4x4 with key on. If not hot then check the wireing going to it, for a

broken wire. If wire does have power going to it ,Then replace the 4x4 Actuator.
