change the plugs, sound like your getting to much fuel or it overloading some how . possibly o2 sensor or plugged catalic converter.

I had the same problem, check the idle air control valve located under front side of intake. Should be small rubber hose going in and coming out. IACV should be cold at start and heat up when engine coolant heats up and passes through IACV. If this unit is not hot to touch water is not passing through. A small hose barb fitting that screws into engine beside the thermostat may have a water flow restriction, remove and clean. Over time internal engine water system becomes clogged with mineral deposits.

Never use well water in system, use distilled water.

This fuse is located in the under hood compartment. Look from the driver's side and it'll be on the right side of the power center. This is a 15a mini fuse

under the steering column there is a port that looks like a huge monitor female. put a paper clip in the top right two turn the key on read the code 1 flash 2 flash 3 times- 12. then it will do this for your code.

the th350 pan is more of a defined square shape with a corner cut off and the rear of the case is basically smooth.

the th400 has more an undefined and not square pan with ribs or fins at the rear of the case.

there should be two straps holing it up I think each one only has one nut or bolt holding it. just loosen these nuts (not all the way yet) remove the tank fill hose and the tank vent hose from the side of the bed. Then lower the tank till you can remove the fuel pump assembly. You'll need a flathead screwdriver and small hammer to remove the fuel pump assembly. one the assembly is loose you can go ahead and drop the tank. Installation is in reverse order. Also I would recommend a jack to help support the tank and to siphon the fuel out of the tank before hand as It can get heavy.

WEll it all depends on the fuel system on the truck and motor if hey are the same u should be good... but one may be a tbi system and that's where u might need to do a little tweaking on your set ups.

you would need to weld new ones on. I own a 1991 Chevy truck with sagging door. here was the cheap fix. put a block of wood 2x4 2x6 under back of door while open jack the door up with floor jack go slowly watch you don't bent bottom of door jack enough to slightly bend hinges up ,do it small steps so as not to break hinges. In between steps lower door and check fit. Also lower striker plate on door frame .this fix my problem

Yes it will fit right in there with no problems. will not have to alter any body parts are fire wall. But you will need the PCM. / Power train control module / computer and engine wiring harness. You will also have to change the electric fuel pump in the gas tank to one that is for the vortec engine. You would be less trouble to just put the 350 TBI / throttle body injection engine back in it.

I have a 1996 305, Vortec with that number on it.

Drain oil. remove oil filter and replace with new. remove oil pan. Remove old gasket make sure the area at which the gasket seats are cleaned well and install new gasket with oil pan and fill the motor up with the appropriate type and amount of motor oil.

Normal operating fuel pressure is between 60 to 66psi. If it less than that, or cannot maintain that amount, check for a clogged fuel filter first. If the filter can be blown through freely then your problem is a little harder. It may be the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump itself.
