With your ignition in the on position, but the car not started. Press and hold the disp button on the radio for about 5 seconds. On the radio the word settings will appear at which point you can scroll through the setting by pushing the next or prev buttons. When you get to tire pressure you can reset it by pushing the disp button.

the power steering resevoir, MAKE SURE the vehicle requires power steering fluid, some use transmission fluid instead. If your unsure take it to a lube center and ask them to do it you. In the 2004 Chevy Impala with the 3.8L engine, the power steering pump is a sealed unit. It does not require fluid to be added. Also if you have to replace it, it is not an easy job. The power steering pump is above the transmittion and behind the center of the engine.

Engine is running slower at idle, therefore water pump is running slower and water is being circulated at a slower speed and there is no air flow through the grill to the radiator Try flushing the coolant and replacing the thermostat. This usually helps or solves the problem. If it doesnt then your radiator is prbably clogged and not properly dispersing fluid through it. You will most likely have to change the radiator. It is possibly the coolant temp sensor is not quite right. It could just be several things. Try the flusing first. Good luck.

It depends. Take this into consideration. You car seats probably 4 people right? Ok, each person will weigh probably anywhere from 150-300lbs. So lets say each person is 200lbs, including you, that's 800lbs+ your car is tugging along....now compare that to 4 size 22inch rims that probably weigh 70lbs each...times 4 that's 280lbs......

So if your car can handle 4 overweight amercians on a daily haul, you can easily get by with 4 sized 22 inch rims on a daily with no issues. I think trannys break down when drivers have older cars, like these box chevys that guys will rig up. Those cars have already seen many miles, and adding all that extra weight to played out tranny systems just kills them.

Also, if you get OVERSIZED rims for your vehicle. Meaning if the tire wont fit inside your vehicles axel area, ITS TOO BIG, and more than likely ITS TOO HEAVY AS WELL.

looking at the front of the car with the hood open you will notice the the radiator directly in front of you and the serpentine belt system and battery to your left. if you look straight down between the header panel(where the radiator sits and fans sit) and the engine you will see a copper colored cylinder with wires connected to it. that is your starter

With the radiator full and the recovery tank 1/2 filled you will need to start the engine and when the temperature reaches 232 to 235 degrees the cooling fans should come on. If not then take it to a repair shop and have then diagnosis the problem.

Behind the heater core in the HVAC assembly. The assembly is behind the radio.

Turn the ignition key to the on/acc position without the engine running. Press the accelerator 3 times within 5 seconds. Turn the key to the off position and then fire up the engine. The oil message should be gone. this is supposed to be done every time the oil has been changed.

Chevrolet does not use inertia/reset switches.

Make sure the coolant level is ok, add fluid if needed, that should make the light to go out if light still on you will probably have a bad coolant level switch and will meed to replace it

With the engine at operating temperature back off the rocker arm until it slightly clatters. Tighten it down slowly until the valve is quiet and then tighten it 3/4 of a turn more.jd
